It is with great pleasure that we present the second issue of our annual publication “Lokhen Magazine,” created for all truck enthusiasts. And it is not just about trucks and trailers!

With our magazine, we want to keep you updated every year on the most important Lokhen news.

In these pages, we talk about our multiple new initiatives, such as the adoption of tools and procedures aimed at improving workflow management, our new team building activities, the return of important events such as the IAA, and all other news from the Lokhen world.

This issue of our magazine highlights the work of all our departments, which have been producing amazing and innovative ideas since the beginning of this year to offer our customers an ever-expanding range of solutions.

JANUARY

The Digital Transformation is NOW.

Lokhen, which always seeks the best for itself and all its stakeholders (customers, suppliers, employees and the environment), has long been on a path towards Digital Transformation.

In January 2022, we decided to switch to Google’s G Suite , a single digital workplace that allows the management of, among others, e-mails – which are also integrated within CRM–shared calendars, instant messaging with push notifications, and video calls.

To improve our business processes we implemented a digital platform to streamline, manage and track our approval processes. All documents will be managed digitally, with no physical transmission.

A company that implements efficient workflows will be able to accomplish all its goals, and we at Lokhen have some ambitious goals to achieve.

FEBRUARY

ORIGAMY, THE FOLDABLE, is the protagonist of our new advertising campaign.

Trailer is a biennial German magazine, one of the most important publications in the Truck & Trailer industry.

Lokhen dedicates its contribution to the 2022/2023 edition to ORIGAMY, a mix of absolute perfection: it is FOLDABLE, space-saving, durable, stable, eco-friendly, and, above all, compliant with the DIN76051 standard.

Suitable for all application needs, ORIGAMY can be installed on TRUCKs, TRAILERs and LCVs.

Thanks to its compact shape, it allows for great space optimization and gives each user maximum installation freedom, saving up to 66% space.

Increasing Employee Satisfaction.

A successful internal communication plan fosters a sense of companionship among employees in pursuing the policies and strategies adopted by the company. It aims to disseminate the company’s identity and values in order to make clear to everyone where the company is going, how things are being done and, above all, why.

At Lokhen, we made available a suggestion box to all employees. Through it, everyone can: propose an innovative idea to the company regarding new products or processes, make suggestions to better our products, services, or productivity, improve our use of materials and machines, suggest ways to enhance work safety and so on. Every year, we ask all our employees to fill in a Satisfaction Questionnaire, which we use to gather insights and improve the working environment.

At Lokhen, we promote performance appraisals and career plans. All employees periodically discuss their past performance and expectations for the future with their managers in order to direct their efforts towards the growth and success of the organization. At this stage, employees receive suggestions for improving their performance and inputs towards achieving their objectives.

Performance appraisal aims to identify any gap that needs ad-hoc training, and is a valuable tool for growth and success – both individual and systemic.

Tuby or ToCarry?

Lokhen takes a new step and enriches its offer with new products entirely designed for VANs. Carrying tubes are our new system for safely transporting copper pipes, plastic sleeves, and other long materials. The tubes are available in different shapes and materials.

Tuby is our round carrying tube available in different diameters and lengths, in plastic or aluminum, and equipped with plastic flaps featuring a safety locking system.

ToCarry is our square transport tube, which was created to meet different needs in terms of design, aerodynamics, and functionality. Available in multiple sizes, it features a double opening, thanks to its two plastic doors with a magnetic lock opening system that prevents accidental closing.

With market-leading load capacity, patent-pending design, and crash tests passed at 20 g, Lokhen’s carrying tubes reconcile aesthetics and safety without compromise.

STOPPY, a revolutionary ladder clamping system.

Among Lokhen’s products dedicated to the world of VANs, we are pleased to present STOPPY, the ladder clamp which allows you to lock each ladder loaded on your vehicle in a practical, quick and safe way.

Sold in pairs and equipped with keys for the lock, our clamps provide greater safety and ease of use. The use of a stainlesssteel hook offers high durability while providing excellent corrosion resistance.

Our innovative locking method ensures that operation is five times faster than traditional ladder clamps with screws. TÜV certified and successfully crashtested at 20 g.

JULY

Peddy, a step forward.

Footboards are the third product in Lokhen’s VAN product category. Designed with the daily health and safety of van users in mind, our footboards feature a high-visibility reflective label and provide easier access to the rear of your vehicle.

All available models consist of a metal support frame with a plastic cover, and provide a safe and stable platform from which you can reach the roof of your van. This eliminates the need to climb over tires to load or unload work items placed on the roof of the vehicle, a common cause of accidents.

Multiple models and colors are available for different makes and types of vehicles:

- With double or triple footboard, depending on your desired length;

- Painted yellow or black, depending on the color that best suits your vehicle;

- With or without towing hook, depending on the vehicle.

Lokhen Summer 2022

Let us cast off the moorings and set sail again! Lokhen’s summer event could not be missing.

After last years’ Lokhen Games, this summer we organized a sailing regatta – an original, unique and fascinating experience.

The sailing boat is an extraordinary metaphor for corporate life. With its special rules, it is the ideal place to strengthen interpersonal relations and create new relationships in a different environment, increasing collaboration and cohesion in responding to events in different contexts and situations.

The entire Lokhen team, divided into several crews led by experienced skippers, tested its leadership skills, and strengthened its problemsolving and decision-making prowess, with the common goal of reaching the finish line.

Four years after the last edition, the IAA is back, with a new name, a new slogan “People and goods in motion” and a new exhibition concept.

Our entire team was very happy to finally meet again with our many international customers after four years.

There were numerous visits to our booth and great interest in the new Lokhen products: the foldable chock Origamy, available in different sizes, the light holder Galassy, and our new products for VANs. Therefore, we would like to thank everyone – our partners and our loyal and prospective customers – who showed interest in our products and contributed to the success of the event.

Galassy Small is an innovative product – thanks to its sliding opening system, it is the first in its category with a variable length (1180 to 1400 mm). Its functional design allows for quick installation and removal of the plate without using bolts.

Quality, injection technology, attention to details, functionality, strength, and design – that is how a project becomes a product.

NOVEMBER

ORIGAMY 36: Greatest durability, smallest format.

There is a new entry in Lokhen’s Origamy chock family: Origamy 36, the first foldable chock designed for the Light Commercial Vehicles sector.

The smallest product in its category, Origamy is durable, space-saving — compared to traditional solid chocks, it only takes up 1/3 of the space — and TÜV-certified in accordance with the DIN 76051 standard.

The eye-catching design developed by Lokhen’s research and development team gives Origamy36 great stability and solidity — our internal tests proved its resistance up to 6,400 kg with 18% slope.

Thanks to Beam, our plastic chock holder available in both single and double versions (for carrying 1 or 2 chocks), Origamy is both quick and easy to install.

From now on, each of your stops will be safer with Origamy 36.

2022 is drawing to a close, and it has been a year full of achievements, satisfactions, and news.

Lokhen’s 2022 has been a year of consolidation and expansion. We have accomplished the unthinkable, but it is only the beginning of a journey that will require commitment, courage and dedication.

Lokhen ended 2022 on a positive note, once again proving itself an economically sound company. Lokhen’s revenues grew from the previous year, and all signs point to the fact that we can expect significant growth over the next few years.

Our network is growing. In fact, 2022 saw t he entry of new European customers among both OEMs and distributors and the consolidation of our presence in faraway territories.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of my employees for their commitment to their work and active participation in all our initiatives and projects, which demonstrate a great sense of belonging to the company. Together with each one of them, we need to look ahead so as not to fall behind.

Thanks to the values it represents, corporate philosophy becomes a tool with a positive productive impact in the search for energies and solutions, because we must never forget that companies are made up of people and they interact with people.

A challenging 2023 awaits us, but one that is full of opportunities. There will be several new developments at Lokhen, covering not only products, but also important and innovative technologies.
