Your Council Lockyer Valley Regional Council, comprising the Mayor and six Councillors, is the elected body responsible for the good governance of Lockyer Valley Regional Council. The elected body has legal obligations requiring members to represent the current and future interests of Lockyer Valley residents. Councillors are democratically elected and accountable to their communities for the decisions they make and the services they provide. Their role also includes other responsibilities such as providing high quality leadership to the community, participating in Council meetings, developing policy and making decisions that are in the interest of the whole community.
