The behind the scenes hero… Kevin Light

Any successful equestrian will tell you that the key to success is a great back up team, be it a trainer, sponsor or family member there are just some people we cannot be without. In this continuing series we meet ‘the dads’, so important and so supportive, but very rarely known.

Words and photography by Alex Kelly, additional photography by Pleasure Prints For sisters Claire and Suzanne Light, showing is a family affair especially now they have pony mad daughters of their own. Both have been very successful in the native ridden classes qualifying ponies for both HOYS and Olympia. Mum, Helen, is a massive help and sparked the family interest in ponies, but of course they couldn’t be without Dad, Kevin’s help.
