Responding directly to the vocalised research, the first prototype is inspired by spiritual and sci-fi art references. These references provide a comfort in morale that, underline temporary conflict and emphasise the unique power of spirituality.
The first prototype is a simplified idea for style and construction featuring raglan sleeves and lace inserts. The key details for this sample refer to the most used pressure points as stated by Curle, becoming the design feature. Using a combination of lightweight stretch knits – creating the comfort of loungewear – and lace creates a sensual juxtaposition.
