The 18-minute film shown on an hourly schedule explores Petersburg’s involvement in the Civil War. The Exchange Building, built between 1839 and 1841 is an excellent example of Greek Revival architecture. The building was commissioned by a group of merchants to create a trading center where graded and certified samples of agricultural products could be shown to prospective buyers.
