Weston Plantation The main house was built in 1789 by William and Christian Eppes Gilliam near the Appomattox River and now serves as the headquarters of the Historic Hopewell Foundation. It is a classic example of Virginia Georgian architecture. The three-story home is furnished with antiques and reproductions.

In 2008, two new structures were added to the site after extensive archeological research: the summer kitchen and the laundry. Weston Plantation is located at 400 Weston Lane, Hopewell. Guided tours of the house and grounds are available year round.
