Pastor Charles Jones

Jones

P

astor Jones, born February 13th, 1957, brings a powerful testimony to his ministry that is founded on teaching the Gospel of Christ. He exudes the essences of God's mercy and grace to the saints through his personal experiences in life. He often says, “If God saved me, he can save anybody.” It's sometimes easy to teach about things that you have never experienced but God has given him a special anointing to witness through real life situations. Pastor Jones is a very family oriented minister. Him and his wife Joyce have been married since October 25th, 1980. God brought them to Christ while they were dating and has continued to allow their relationship to blossom in his fullness. They also have two wonderful children together, Dontrial Jones and Candace Jones-Johnson. Pastor Jones holds a bachelor's degree in Theology from the International Bible Institute. He additionally has taken biblical courses from Liberty University and other seminary schools. “Remember, God accepts you as you are. Let him make the change in your life. If we could do it ourselves, we wouldn't have needed a Savior. We urge you to come and experience the anointing, see what God has in store for you!” The Pastor’s Vision "My prayer to God is that he may grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his spirit in the inner man.... that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith." (Ephesians 3:17-17A) Pastor Charles Jones’ Statement of Faith I believe in one God, manifested in three persons, God the father, God the son, and God the holy spirit. I believe God the father sent his Son into the world to die for the sins of all mankind. I believe his son Jesus Christ died according to the scripture, rose on the third day, and is now seated at God's right hand. I believe Jesus Christ will soon return to this earth and receive all believers unto him.

reetings in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ,

It is truly a blessing to celebrate 16 years of service with my husband, immediate family, and the entire Antioch family. God is blessing Antioch as a whole. Let us continue to strive to do the will of God by equipping the saints and encouraging the lost to turn to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Without a doubt Antioch, we can testify that God has truly blessed and enlarged our territory. I thank God for the scriptures that burn in my heart and read… “We walk by faith and not by sight”. Another passage reads…”Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. We are learning to walk in God’s word and lay hold of what he has promised us. The Bible teaches us that God is a spirit and we must worship him in spirit and in truth. It is therefore established by that passage that by faith we must trust and believe in God even though we have never physically seen him. I challenge you today to trust and believe in his word. We know the bible says faith without works is dead thus teaching us that faith and works go hand in hand together. God has given us a clear vision for our family here at Antioch. We must continue to pursue the vision he has revealed to this ministry by faith. Last but not least, to my church family: Let us allow our Lord Jesus Christ to continue to lead and guide us into his perfect plan for Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. My husband and I love the people of this church and we hope we have expressed that through our commitment and loyalty. With love and sincerity, First Lady Joyce Jones

reetings Pastor!

I’m very blessed to have connected with you and your ministry. I’ve been challenged and grown spiritually from your sermons and teaching. I just love coming to AMBC. Thank you for being a grounded man of God who clearly and boldly speaks the truth. Although I didn’t grow up with a biological father, I know God placed you in my life for a reason while I was away from my family. Thank you for being available and allowing me to be open with you. I pray that God may continue to keep you and bless you in ministry along with your family. I love you and First Lady Jones dearly, The Lovely Kenya Adelekan

o My Awesome Pastor Charles Jones,

Where do I begin to thank you? I have been a member of Antioch for five years now and I have grown tremendously. When I enter those doors I know that I am coming to receive a raw and uncut word from God. You have taught sermons on sensitive subject matters such as attitude problems and tempers that have definitely hit home for me because I know that's an area in my life I need to work on. I have come a long way, but still have so much to improve lol. (So don't judge me) You also have preached on forgiveness and I have started to do things differently by changing my way of thinking. Is it easy? Oh no sir, it's very hard. You have taught me the importance of letting go too, which is equally hard, but I am learning day by day. We all have issues and I am not scared to admit that I do. I just want you to know that your preaching and teaching is not in vain. I am learning that being in leadership is no joke. You mentioned to me once that when you take on a leadership role that the devil comes at you even harder and I agree wholeheartedly. He will come in whatever way he can‌through your kids, your spouse, and even your finances. Through your teaching and preaching I am assured that I can make it. I am not giving up because prayer changes things. I pray for you and your family daily because I know your job as the shepherd of Antioch is not easy. You, unlike most pastors make a point to show your face and be supportive at all times. I have no idea how you do it and sometimes I wonder if there are five of you lol. You come out to everything for all ages. You go and visit the sick and shut-ins, attend weddings, funerals, and still find time to have baby dedications. I Renecca Haynes-Joshua (Necie) just want you to know that my family and me are in full support of the vision that God has given you. We love and appreciate you. -Necie
