Most az elsődleges szempont a higiénia és a védelem: hogy a vendégek elhiggyék, biztonságosan nyaralhatnak, utazhatnak a korona vírus járvány idején is. Hogy ez mennyire lesz hihető vagy elfogadható a vendégeknek, az majd kiderül. A változások között van néhány, aminek nagyon örülünk és eddig is be kellett volna vezetni, de most a járvány miatt beigazolódott, hogy simán megoldható. És van olyan is, ami környezetvédelmi szempontból visszaesést jelent sajnos. Készpénz helyett csak hitelkártyával lehet majd fizetni. Nem üzemelhet teltházzal egyik szálloda sem. A mini bár is áldozatul esik, hiszen ezt is szereti minden vendég végigtapogatni, megfogdosni. És körülményes lenne mindent lefertőtleníteni. Viszlát, teli medencék! Limitálva lesz az uszodák létszáma, azaz hogy egyszerre hányan lehetnek vízben. A Happy Hour-nak is annyi, nem lehet egyidőben néhány embernél több a szállodák bárjában sem. A hotelszobában nem lesznek kávé- és teafőzőgépek, mert ezt is állandóan fertőtleníteni kellene. Étkezéseknél a büféasztalos nézelődéseknek, válogatásoknak sincs jövője, mert emeli a fertőzésveszélyt. A szappan-, sampon-, testápoló- és hajbalzsamadagolók helyett visszatérnek a kisadagos kiszerelések, mindegy, hogy ezzel menyi fölösleges hulladék keletkezik... A kártyakulcs is a múlté, helyette a saját okostelefonunkkal nyithatjuk majd ki az ajtót. A kicsekkolásnál nem lesz papírszámla, csak elektronikus.

Meglepő változás jön a hotelekben. A strange new world is coming. There will be some surprising changes in the hotel industry. Nowadays the top preference is hygiene and protection: so guests can believe they can travel safely, even during the epidemic. How credible or acceptable this will be for the guests, we will see. Among the changes are some that we gladly welcome and should have been introduced already, but now the epidemic proved it can be easily implemented. And there are some changes that are downturn for the environment, unfortunately. Instead of cash, you will only be able to pay by credit card. No hotel can operate on full capacity. The mini bar is also a victim of the virus, as all guests like to grab the items then put them back. It would be hard to disinfect all of them after each guest. Goodbye, full pools! The capacity of pools will be limited, only so many people can be in the water at one time. The Happy Hours are over too, there can't be more than a few people in a hotel bar at once. There will be no coffee and tea making facilities in the hotel room, as this should also be constantly disinfected. Picking our favourites at the buffet table is not something we can do in the future either, because they increase the risk of infection. Instead of the soap, shampoo, body lotion and hair conditioner dispensers, small, one dose packaging will return, no matter how much unnecessary waste is generated... The key cards also have to go, we will open the room doors with our own smartphones instead. There will be no paper invoice for the check-out, you will only receive it in electronic format.
