Samuel Glass Politics of Inspiration Essay Writing Contest

Prizes: 1st place $100, 2nd place $50, 3rd place $25. Consider the concept of inspiration in state and local government. Who inspires you? What does it mean to inspire? Research someone that works for the city, local, or municipal government, or relate a personal example of someone who has locally made a difference in the community with their political action and courage. 1,000 words or less, double-spaced, 12 pt Times New Roman font. A variety of sources such as newspaper articles, books and interviews must be used. Include your name and email or phone # on the essay. Attach as a Word document in an email to teens@newtonfreelibrary.net. Essays may also be dropped off at the second floor Teen Area desk.
