Lot 2 BOOMTIME BANKER (IRE) 2014 B.M. Following two starts in point-to-points last spring, Boomtime Banker stepped up notably on her third start at Toomebridge to win by an impressive three lengths. A closer look at her run in Tralee last May shows that she was very much in contention two-out before coming down. The daughter of Kalanisi is trained by Sam Curling and was given a very positive ride by Derek O’Connor. She went on with purpose twoout and in spite of a mistake at the last, she kept on strongly to the line. She is out of a sister to the talented five-time winner Tom Horn and given her progression over the summer, Boomtime Banker looks an exciting addition to the sale.

Lot 3 DADS LAD (IRE) 2015 CH.G. Dads Lad made a very eye-catching debut when placed 2nd in the INH Flat Race at Clonmel on 5 September for trainer Mrs Olivia Byrne. Held up off the pace travelling well he had a fair bit to do turning in but stayed on in very taking fashion to the line shaping with significant promise.] He showed the benefit of that initial outing and proved it was no fluke when placed 3rd in the competitive NH Flat Race at Navan on 28 September. A fine big horse he looks a lovely prospect going forward over obstacles.

Lot 5 TIMBER TANG GIRL (IRE) 2014 B.M Timber Tang Girl is a horse that returned to the promise of her debut in a five-year-old mares’ maiden at Toomebridge a fortnight earlier, by winning on her third outing at Portrush on the third weekend of the season. Coming from off the pace in what was a good tempo set throughout, she got away from the penultimate fence quicker than her chief rival and from that point she was able to dominate. At the line she won a shade snugly and should have little problem making the transition to racing under rules.

LOT 6 DRAGON BONES (GB) 2015 BR.F. Dragon Bones made the perfect start to her career when running out the debut winner of the hotly contested Open NH Flat Race at Worcester on 23 October. The only filly in the race, she rallied very bravely under pressure for her rider to prevail close home and clearly possesses a very determined attitude. A half-sister to black type performer Flawless Escape and out of a half-sister to YALA ENKI she has a very appealing pedigree and rates an exciting prospect for Novice Hurdles.

Lot 7 FERALKAT (GB) 2015 CH.F. Having made her debut at Rathcannon when running for the Harry Kelly stable, Feralkat returned from a summer’s break when re-appearing at Moig South for a new stable, having joined Denis Hogan. Ridden patiently by her young novice rider, the daughter of Schiaparelli was delivered with a well-timed challenge in between the final two fences, and swiftly got the better of chief rival quite immediately to pull a length and a half clear by the winning post. Extremely well-related being a halfsister to the Grade 1 Punchestown Champion Bumper winner The Liquidator, this was an eye-catching success.

Lot 10 MIDNIGHT LEGACY (IRE) 2014 B.M. Midnight Legacy made her only start a winning one when taking the fiveyear-old mares maiden at Loughrea for Denis Murphy. The daughter of Getaway was always travelling with purposeful ease here and quickly put the race to bed shortly after the second from home. The margin of victory does little to represent her superiority as she was given an easy time of it by her rider late on. A tall, very much unfurnished sort she is likely to progress plenty from this and looks more than capable of making her mark inside the rails.

Lot 12 MR JOSIEY WALES (IRE) 2015 B.G. Mr Josiey Wales heads to the sales following his success at CastletownGeoghegan in a competitive four-year-old maiden on what was his second start between the flags. The Colin Bowe-trained winner was patiently ridden in mid-division of the 12-runner field for much of the race before making good headway to lead after the second last fence where he then held a comfortable advantage over his rivals on the run-in to win by an impressive three lengths. The son of Milan is out of a half-sister to Belapour a six-time winning mare and highlighted himself as an exciting youngster that is bred to develop into a smart sort on the track and could have a lot to offer to new connections.

Lot 14 BOLD SOLDIER (GB) 2015 B.G. Bold Soldier made his debut at Portrush when positioned on the heels of the leaders in what was a steadily run race. The son of Kayf Tara, who was ridden by a 5lb claiming novice rider, found himself shuffled back a position or two just before the leader began to make his move at the end of the back straight, which certainly looked costly by the end of the race, given how powerfully he stayed on in the home straight. Finding himself in sixth position rounding the home bend, he immediately began to pick off rivals over the final two fences, as he stayed on with real purpose, finishing the race just two lengths in arrears of the more experienced race winner.

Lot 15 BALLYCALLAN FAME (IRE) 2015 B.F. Hailing from a yard that produced the Down Royal Grade 3 winner Daylight Katie, who was previously sold at this sale after winning a fouryear-old mares’ maiden, Ballycallan Fame tried to make all of the running on her debut in very testing conditions at Moig South. The daughter Fame And Glory, that is out of a two-time track winner that has already produced the multiple winner Scotch Quay, posted what was an impressive round of jumping for a rookie, as she led the field into the home straight, with seemingly most of her rivals rivals accounted for. It was only the more experienced Feralkat that could offer a challenge to her, and a better leap by that rival at the last proved crucially in getting the victory. Ballycallan Fame was only beaten by just over a length at the line, and pulled ten lengths clear of the remainder, indicating she should be winning very soon.

Lot 16 NELSONS ROCK (GB) 2015 B.G. Nelson’s Rock gained a deserved success in the four-year-old maiden at Tinahely in what was a relatively competitive contest with some lines of form on offer, coming primarily from the final weeks of last season. The son of Mount Nelson who was appearing for the third time finished third in a grief-stricken maiden at Ballingarry on the final day of last season. The eye catching gelding took up a pace-setting position after half a mile once he over took Minella Wizard. Seemingly a very straight forward individual, he showed a good attitude, getting away much quicker from the final fence than his chief rival and looks sure to enjoy plenty of success under rules.

Lot 17 PRINCE ESCALUS (IRE) 2105 B.G. Prince Escalus continued the excellent start to the new season from the four-year-old’s from the Colin Bowe yard when he made the best start to his racing career when registering an eight-length success at Damma House. This race was particularly notable for the extremely strong pace that was set from flag fall, with this true gallop ensuring there were no hiding places over the course of the three-mile trip. This Jeremy gelding was always positioned in the first half of the field by his claiming rider and began to make a forward move quite early on the final circuit. As one-by-one his rivals began to falter as the continued strong pace became too much, he passed more experienced rivals to finish out his race particularly well, to register a time 32 seconds quicker than the day’s average, and unsurprisingly the quickest of the day.

Lot 20 BALLYADAM (IRE) 2015 B.G. Ballyadam could not have been more impressive on his debut, as he ran out a four-length winner of the four-year-old maiden won three years earlier by Grade 1 star Finians Oscar. This was a race run to a strong gallop from flag fall, however this did little to trouble the Fame And Glory gelding who made notable ground on the climb to the home straight before picking off the long time leader in between the final two fences to a clock a time 17 seconds faster than the opening division of the same event. This emphatic defeat saw him get the better of a number of horses with notable form, including the third, Premiumaccess, who had chased home ÂŁ410,000 seller Wide Receiver on his only previous outing, the fourth who had also finished placed on his only previous run, whilst Monty Guiry who had only been beaten by a length in the spring, could only manage fifth.

Lot 22 JAY BEE WHY (IRE) 2015 B.G. Jay Bee Why clocked the fastest time on the day when he made a winning debut at Loughanmore for the very much in-form Colin Bowe team. Overcoming a mid-race jumping error, the Yeats gelding, who cost â‚Ź40,000 as a foal, made good ground along the back straight to stalk the pace-setter around the home bend. Once hitting the front, the fellow newcomer, Lifetime Ambition, a â‚Ź40,000 store purchase, had nothing to offer him, as he pulled clear in smart style to win by three lengths.

Lot 23 BOLD ENOUGH (IRE) 2015 B.G. Bold Enough could have had the misfortune of coming up against one of the smartest four-year-old’s of the autumn season when he chased home Ballyadam at Portrush. Whilst Ballyadam did take over the lead in between the home straight, this son of Jeremy ran right to the line, ensuring he was only beaten by four length with a number of previously placed horses in behind.

Lot 24 ALAPHILIPPE (IRE) 2014 B.G. Alaphillipe was the sole newcomer when he lined up against three rivals for his debut at Kinsale on November 2nd, and the patiently-ridden Morozov gelding began to take a big interest in the contest as he moved into a challenging position along the latter part of the back straight. In the end it was only the vastly more experienced Not Fou Sale, a second season horse that was running for the seventh time, who prevented him from making a wining debut.

Lot 26 IMMORTALITY (FR) 2014 B.M. The highly thought of Immortality made a lasting impression when taking the five-year-old mares’ maiden at Moig South. The well-bred daughter of Spanish Moon, who is a full sister to Willie Mullins star mare Laurina caught the eye as she was bounced out and made all the running, she travelled very strongly throughout while also displaying a number of good jumps. Ridden by Jamie Codd the French-bred mare showed a very smart turn of foot when she readily pulled clear from the penultimate fence and the manner in which she travelled was particularly eye-catching, suggesting she had plenty left in the tank. Immortality is bred to develop into a smart sort on the track and looks to be a high-class addition to the catalogue who should be added to every serious short list.

Lot 27 MCGARRY (IRE) 2014 B.G. McGarry posted a very credible debut performance when finishing runner-up in the five-year-olds geldings’ maiden at Taylorstown last April. Ridden by John Barry, the son of Mahler was never too far away from the pace and travelled very smoothly into the contest to pick up the advantage from the final fence. Neil McKnight’s charge progressed to the lead after the final fence where he showed an impressive turn of foot to go away from the runner-up Autumn Crusade by two and a half lengths. Hailing from a strong flat pedigree that includes Ragusa and Princess Pati, McGarry is bred to develop into a smart track sort and could have a lot to offer to new connections.

Lot 28 YOUSAYITBEST (IRE) 2015 B.G. The Cian Hughes-trained Yousayitbest made a very impressive debut here when running out an emphatic winner of the four-year-old geldings maiden at Moig South. The bay gelding jumped well at the head of affairs under Jamie Codd, before strongly challenged from the third-last but had little difficulty in fending off his challengers from this point. The debutant showed a very smart turn of foot in the closing stages to quicken away from his rivals with ease. This exciting type ultimately came home two lengths clear of the field to record very easy victory. A son of Doyen, this good-looking sort could well develop into a promising prospect under rules.

Lot 29 HENRY GONDOFF (GB) 2015 B.G. Henry Gondoff has to be considered extremely unlucky to have made a winning debut, as he looked to have arrived with a winning challenge when making his way to the head of affairs after the second last, only to make a mistake at the final fence, unseating his rider. The son of Great Pretender was holding a two-length advantage at the time on his debut, and given that it was a competitive looking race, he would look to be an exciting prospect

Lot 30 GABYNAKO (FR) 2015 B.G. Gabynako looks to have come up against a very smart looking individual when he made his debut in testing conditions at Moig South. Always tracking the favourite, this son of Tirwanako was the only horse capable of landing a serious challenge to him as he moved upsides approaching the third-last fence, a point in the race that the pair began to leave their other five rivals very much trailing behind them. As they pulled clear, it was only from the final fence that the winner began to get the upper hand in a race that clocked a time ten seconds faster than the day’s average. The likes of the seven-time winner Mister Miyagi and No Hassle Hoff, a horse that has finished placed in three Graded races, are just some of the other horses to have finished placed in four-year-old maidens for handler Shane Ryder in recent times before going on to enjoy success for new connections.

Lot 31 PREMIUMACCESS (IRE) 2015 B.G. Premiumaccess has had the misfortune of bumping into two highly regarded individuals, first chasing home Cheltenham Sale topper, the ÂŁ410,000 seller Wide Receiver on his debut at Cragmore, before finishing a fine third behind the impressive Ballyadam at Portrush on his return to action last month. The Milan gelding, a â‚Ź50,000 purchase from the 2018 edition of the Derby sale, justified his favourites task on his third visit to competitive action when a swift leap over the last saw him out-battle Sponthus, a real eye-catcher on his debut at Tinahely, to get his head in front with a deserved success. Handling some of the softest ground conditions encountered so far this season particularly well, he looks a strong staying type for the future.

Lot 32 MIDWAY TO GETAWAY (IRE) 2015 B.F. Midway Getaway made a very promising debut at Moig South only succumbing to a more experienced well-bred type in Immortality. The Mick Murphy-trained daughter of Getaway was certainly an eye-catcher for the rapid progress that she made on the climb to the second-last fence to come from off the pace into a challenging position and did her utmost to reel in the front-running winner. Only beaten two lengths at the line, this bay mare will have gained plenty from her debut outing and looks a smart individual for the future.

Lot 33 BRAVE WAY (IRE) 2015 B.F. Brave Way was never too far from the pace when she made her debut at Knockinroe in a ten-runner contest. Jumping particularly well on the inside of runners, the daughter of Jeremy made her way to the front after the second last, and from there she had to prove her toughness to overcome the challenge of the well-touted favourite Upton Lady, with Brave Way getting the better of the exchanges by a length. From the stable that sent out recent Munster National winner Cabaret Queen to win a similar four-year-old mares’ maiden at Dromahane, she would look to be the latest smart sort to emerge from Warren Ewing’s yard.

Lot 35 LIFETIME AMBITION (IRE) 2015 BR.G. Lifetime Ambition lost little in defeat when finishing second on his only start to date in the four-year-old maiden at Loughanmore. Given a patient ride, the French-bred made very smooth progress through the field inside the final mile, taking up the advantage after jumping the second last fence. Donnchadh Doyle’s charge quickly opened up a ready advantage on the run to the final fence however made a costly mistake jumping the concluding obstacle. The son of Kapgarde kept on gamely to the line to be beaten by three lengths. A ₏40,000 store purchase, Lifetime Ambition is from the family of the nine-time winner Si Tu Viens as well as Grade one winner J'Y Vole. Having posted such a strong run, this well-bred gelding lost little in defeat and is a very likeable youngster with a lot to offer it seems.

Lot 36 MINELLA LINK (FR) 2015 B.G. As is the case with all horses from John Nallen’s stable, Minella Link is a well-bred individual being out of a half-sister to Twice Over, a Group performer for the late Sir Henry Cecil, and he made his debut a winning one when coming home in front at Knockinroe. The son of Rail Link began to make his move along the back straight, as he made his way to the head of the pack before the penultimate obstacle. Whilst he was headed in the home straight, he would surely have offered Henry Gondoff a stiff challenge to the line, over for that rival to exit at the last, allowing him to record a ten-length success.

Lot 37 GOOD TIME JONNY (IRE) 2015 B.G. Good Time Jonny made a most encouraging debut when placed 2nd in the INH Flat Race at Punchestown on 16 October and looks a sure-fire future winner for new connections. The four-year-old son of Shirocco settled nicely under Jamie Codd and travelled very kindly throughout and picked up well to challenge and lead over a furlong out. His inexperience might just have cost him in the closing stages as he went down by only a head to a more experienced rival. This rates a lovely debut run and he is an exciting prospect going forward.

Lot 38 ELMDALE (FR) 2014 GR.G. Elmdale was unsurprisingly sent off as a short-priced favourite for his latest outing at Loughanmore, following an eye-catching second on his return to action three weeks earlier. On that occasion at CastletownGeoghegan, the Martaline gelding only found Do Your Job five lengths too good in the 11-runner contest, with that horse subsequently proving to be a sales topper when changing hands for ÂŁ150,000. It was after this second placing that he was strongly fancied ahead of his run at Loughanmore when falling at fence four.

Lot 39 UPTOWN LADY (IRE) 2015 B.F. Out of a six-time track winning daughter of Toulon that has already produced the 135 top-rated chaser Owen Na View, who himself is a sixtime winner, Uptown Lady was well-touted ahead of her debut at Knockinroe which came in a very competitive looking four-year-old mares’ maiden. Patiently ridden over the course of the opening two miles, the daughter of Milan was one of three horses to pull clear from the third-last fence. Coming with her challenge at the last, she held every chance at this point only to get outjumped at this fence which proved crucial given that she was only beaten by a single length. There was a lot to like about this display.

Lot 41 FUEGO DE L’ABBAYE (FR) 2015 B.G. Fuego De L’Abbaye got off the mark at the second time of asking in the four-year-old geldings’ maiden at Dowth Hall, having been unlucky to come to grief at the second fence on his debut at Bartlemy. Ridden by Luke Murphy the son of Kap Rock bounced out and made all the running, jumping fluently throughout. The French-bred gelding, who increased the tempo in the final six furlongs displayed a very willing attitude and as the closing All The Fame loomed, it is to his credit that he found plenty for pressure before going on to oblige by two lengths. The €22,000 sale graduate appears to be a decent looking prospect, who could be a progressive sort under rules.

Lot 43 FISTON DES ISSARDS (FR) 2015 B.G. There was a lot to like about the debut performance which earned the French-bred Fiston Des Issards a maiden success, when he came out on top of a competitive looking race at Loughanmore. This was a steadily run contest, ensuring that the field remained tightly grouped, even with just three fence to jumps. As a result, those horses with plenty of pace and speed came to the fore in the closing stages, with none of the nine rivals showing any more speed than this son of Buck’s Boum. Easing his way on coming to the last, it was most eye-catching to see how instantly the response was when asked to quicken, allowing him to ease clear on the run-in, beating a horse that had finished second three weeks earlier in the process.

Lot 44 BOBBY BOW (IRE) 2014 B.G. Bobby Bow showed plenty of promise on his debut fourth at Kinsale in June. Following up from this run, the son of Frammossone improved to win on his next start at Moig South in November. Prominent throughout, the Mick Murphy-trained winner joined the leader at the third last fence, he soon quickened up and held a six-length advantage when jumping the last where he made a costly mistake but held on to the line to win by half-a-length. He is likely value for more than the winning margin here as his sole error at the final fence allowed the runner-up to close on him late on. This eye-catching gelding highlighted himself as an exciting sort who will be a real addition to any trainer’s yard.

Lot 45 BOOTHILL (IRE) 2O15 B.G.

Boothill came up against a horse with the benefit of a previous outing when second on his debut at Castletown-Geoghegan, and he stepped up three weeks later to run a cracking race in defeat at Loughanmore. Sent off as the odds-on favourite, the son of Presenting was well positioned throughout, leaving him with every chance around the home bend. However the slow early gallop ensured speed was at a premium in the closing stages, with an impressive newcomer just managing to outsprint him from the last. The pair pulled nicely clear from the remainder, with Boothill returning six lengths clear of the third horse.

Lot 47 ASHTOWN LAD (IRE) 2O14 B.G. A â‚Ź65,000 acquisition from the 2017 edition of the Derby Sale, Ashtown Lad has proven himself to be a very progressive individual, showing improvement in each of his outings to date culminating in a taking 18length success at Knockinroe. Having ended last season chasing home Offallthejinjoints, a debut winner over hurdles at Chepstow recently, the son of Flemensfirth was expected to produce a big display on his return at the Tipperary course, and he did not disappoint his followers. Making all of the running, he jumped from fence to fence and began to stamp his authority on the race from the third last, before simply pulling further and further clear.

Lot 48 KILGOREY (IRE) 2014 CH.G. Kilgorey was a recent winner at Dowth Hall on what was his second start between the flags. The son of Shantou ran a creditable race on his debut at Inchdoney last May where he was in third position when his rider unseated just two fences from the finish. The son of Milan, who is a brother to the five-time track winner Herbert Park was ridden behind the leaders throughout and progressed to lead at the third last where he further quickened away from his rivals to win by one length. The success saw him beat well-bred individuals with the second and third placed geldings costing upwards of ₏50,000 each at the store sales. This eyecatching gelding highlighted himself as an exciting sort who will be a real addition to any trainer’s yard.

Lot 51 WOULDN’T YOU AGREE (IRE) 2014 B.G. Wouldn’t you Agree made his debut in what looked a competitive maiden at Knockinroe in October, when he finished second to the smart Liam Kenny-trained Ashtown Lad. A €80,000 store purchase, Wouldn’t You Agree is a nicely-bred sort who hails from the family of high-class chaser Cooldine. The son of Fame and Glory was given a positive ride by jockey Finian Maguire however was no match for the winner. The five-year-old bay emerged from this contest with plenty of credit having occupied the runner-up position some twenty-lengths ahead of White Church, who was runner-up by only two and a half lengths in Portrush two weeks earlier. On that basis, he looks one that should progress well and have a good future under rules.

Lot 52 ANNUAL INVICTUS (IRE) 2015 B.G. Annual Invictus appears to have thrived for a summer break, as having pulled up on his debut at Turtulla in the spring, Cormac Doyle’s charge made a winning return to action at Toomebridge on the opening day of the season. The son of Mahler was positioned at the head of affairs by his novice rider in a slight change to the tactics that had been employed at Turtulla, as he set a decent tempo in the process. What was most pleasing about his success was the manner in which he stuck to his task after being headed exiting the back straight. He battled gamely and overhauled Minella Beauty in the dying strides before running right through the line to get the verdict by two and a half lengths to suggest that stamina poses no questions for him.
