Travel back in time to Tudor Newcastle this half term and take part in Live Theatre’s interactive trail, exploring Newcastle’s famous landmarks. Taking on the role of researchers, families will be joined by an eccentric playwright who needs help to research characters for a new play. With the wizardry of the sonic quill families will come face to face with a series of intriguing historical figures.

Live Theatre has worked with pupils aged 9 to 10 years old from Bridgewater Primary School in Scotswood in a series of playwriting workshops, to develop the annual young writers project, First Draft. Six pupils were shortlisted to work with professional writers to help develop their own 10 minute plays. Come along and show your support for the region’s next generation of writing talent. All plays are directed and performed by professionals in the Main Theatre.
