NOMINATE A LOCAL HERO Do you know an unsung hero who deserves some recognition? Nominations are now open for the Order of Liverpool Awards. These awards are presented annually to citizens who have made outstanding contributions to the Liverpool community.

To be eligible, nominees must be residents and ratepayers in the Liverpool LGA who have made a significant contribution over a number of years to the community in one or more of the following categories: civic, community, recreation and sports, or commerce and industry.

Contributions must be predominantly voluntary and not solely as a result of paid employment. Nomination forms are available from Council’s Customer Service Centre at 33 Moore St, Liverpool, and from www.liverpool.nsw.gov.au. If you wish to nominate an inspirational person, please submit your nomination form by 23 July 2018.

$400 REBATE AVAILABLE FOR RESIDENTS A $400 rebate is available to residents who have experienced a break-in. If you live in the Liverpool area and you have experienced a home break-in, then you are eligible to apply for the rebate. This initiative is funded by the NSW Department of Justice through the Building Safer Communities Project.
