As the Tuck shop Manager you are an important member of the Liston College Community. You will, along with all Liston College staff, collectively ensure that the school operates successfully and effectively and maintains a positive public image. Responsible To: The Principal Hours: 32.5 hours per week Term time only
Primary Objectives 1. Support the Special Character of the College as outlined in our Mission Statement As Tuck shop Manager you will be required to support the Special Character of Liston College. 2. Operate the School Tuck shop in a profitable and hygienic manner. As the Tuck shop Manager, you will be solely responsible for ensuring the efficient day to day operations of the tuck shop. You are to ensure that the tuck shop provides a range of stock that adequately meets the needs of the school community, while trying to reach profit targets, and maintaining a high quality of service and hygiene. 3. Be available to assist with other duties. To be available to assist with other duties as directed by the Principal or the Senior Leadership Team.

Support the Special Character of the college as outlined in the Mission Statement.
2. Tuck shop Management
Serve at the counter at morning interval and lunch time. Prepare food for morning interval and lunches. Ensure that the tuck shop provides a range of food choices and stock that adequately meets the needs of the school community. Ensure that a high standard of hygiene is maintained with: Appliances, gadgets and dishes used in food preparation. Ensure that they are cleaned daily. Bench tops - Wiped daily. Floors - Mopped regularly. Other appliances not used in food preparation and shelving cleaned thoroughly once a term. Liaise with the Director of Human Resources re: students assisting in the tuck shop.
3. Stock Maintenance
4. Financial Management
Order and purchase all stock required for the tuck shop. Restock shelves, bag loose sweets and reload drinks fridge when necessary. Conduct a stock inventory at the end of each month. Count and record each day’s takings. Collect money owing from staff (at the end of each term). Reconcile all creditor accounts at the end of each month. Maintain regular contact with the Principal and Accountant regarding profitability of tuck shop.
5. Staff Support
The following duties apply to the Staff room and kitchenette in the Edmund Rice Building. Purchase tea, coffee, sugar and milk for staff. Top up tea, coffee and sugar canisters each day. Load dishwashers with dirty dishes. Set out tea cups on bench top in preparation for morning interval and lunch time. Ensure that the staff room and kitchenette has an adequate supply of cutlery and crockery. Clean bench and wipe down staff tables after lunch time each day. Clean out Fridge and microwave(s) after lunch each Friday. Wash tea towels.
7. Professional Development
Organise and / or assist with staff morning teas and lunches as required. Organise and / or assist with catering for staff events eg. Liston Day, Prize giving etc. Participate constructively in Performance Management. Undertake any professional development required to comply with safe food handling practice.
