Service at Steane

Our Evensong service at Steane on 20th was led most wonderfully well by Rev’d Rich Duncan. Our thanks to him and all the team who took part including those who supplied and served refreshments. The next (and last) service at Steane for 2024 is on 10th September at 6pm. Please come along and share it with others from the benefice.

th September

A great day out discovering England’s churches as well as raising much needed funds through sponsorship to keep churches and chapels in good repair and active in our communities. A perfect opportunity to visit many of the lovely villages around Aynho and beyond. You can plan your own route, whether walking or cycling so why not give it a try. Contact: Pat Stubbs 810695 or pitcairn4@gmail.com

And finally

A quote from Sir Michael Parkinson CBE

When it comes to ballyhoo, Muhammad Ali made Barnum and Bailey look like non-starters, and he had the incandescent quality of the real star which would have made him famous, even if his gift was knitting not fighting.
