How the Turtle got its shell by Ben and Adler In the beginning of the beginning, the Turtle did not have a shell. He just sat in a bush.

Then one day Turtle had to move out of the bush because the bush was dead but Turtle needed to cover his back.

So he got a leaf on his back. The Turtle looked for a place to live. Then he found a tree trunk. He slept there. The next day Turtle got stuck in the mud puddle and the leaf stuck to him. The next year the leaf hardened and became his shell.

And that is how Turtle got its shell.
