Lion and Unicorn Auctions invites you to an extraordinary three-day collector’s weekend, featuring five exclusive auctions that celebrate the finest in porcelain artistry, luxury collectibles, and rare historical pieces. From January 17th to 19th, 2025, we present an exceptional opportunity to acquire rare Swarovski crystal, Royal Doulton, Boehm, Cybis, and other prestigious works of art. This curated event is designed for discerning collectors and art enthusiasts seeking limited editions, prototypes, and unique treasures. Friday’s auction (Lots 1–280) opens the weekend with a brilliant selection of Swarovski crystal figurines and Royal Doulton collectibles. The offerings include dazzling holiday-themed ornaments, rare animal sculptures, and complete nativity sets. Limited-edition pieces and retired designs make this auction a destination for collectors searching for hard-to-find items that shine with craftsmanship and elegance. Saturday’s auctions are split into two
sessions: Part One (Lots 300–445) focuses on the legacy of Royal Doulton, Moorcroft, and Wedgwood. This session features artist-signed vases, prestige figures, and decorative pieces that capture the artistry of these renowned brands. Part Two (Lots 500–661) shifts to rare Capodimonte and Royal Doulton military-themed ceramics, showcasing sculptures of historical figures, Napoleonic soldiers, and grotesque stoneware. A highlight of this session is Lot 622 – the Martin Brothers Stoneware Grotesque Figural Wally Bird. Known for their eccentric and expressive designs, the Martin Brothers’ stoneware stands as a pinnacle of British ceramic artistry, making this piece a rare and whimsical find for collectors.
Sunday’s auctions conclude the weekend with two remarkable sessions: Part One (Lots 700–911) highlights Boehm and Cybis porcelain, featuring wildlife sculptures, flambe vases, and character jugs that

merge realism with artistic flair. Part Two (Lots 1000–1210) showcases an exceptional collection of rare and limited-edition Boehm and Cybis porcelain masterpieces. This session emphasizes intricate bird and floral sculptures, religious icons, and historical figures. A crown jewel of the auction is Lot 1015 – a Boehm Porcelain Percheron Stallion Sculpture, 1950. This rare, glazed porcelain sculpture was hand-created and painted by Edward M. Boehm. Limited to only 100 pieces, it stands out not only for its fine detail and coloration but also for its historical significance, as one of these Percheron Stallions was acquired by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1951, marking one of Boehm’s first works to receive museum recognition.
This collector’s weekend is a rare opportunity to enrich your collection with remarkable works of art, each piece selected for its beauty, craftsmanship, and historical significance.

Any excess funds recovered after the payment of the fees and commissions shall be returned to bidder.

9. In no event will the liability of Lion and Unicorn to any purchaser or bidder with respect to any item exceed the purchase price actually paid by such purchaser for such item.
10. Shipping and/or pick-up of each lot item is ultimately the responsibility of the purchaser. As a convenience for certain lot items, Lion and Unicorn will include a quote for available in-house shipping on each invoice. Shipping quotes are based on volume and size of the items, in addition to distance. If purchaser wishes to arrange their own shipping or pick-up of the lot item(s), such arrangements must be arranged and confirmed to Lion and Unicorn within the time period outlined in Paragraph 6 above. With respect to
lot items for which Lion and Unicorn does not provide an in-house shipping quote, upon request we will provide the purchaser with a list of shippers who deliver to destinations within the United States and overseas. Some property that is sold at auction can be subject to laws governing export from the U.S., such as items that include material from some endangered species and subject to CITES regulations. Import restrictions from foreign countries are subject to these same governing laws and CITES regulations. Granting of licensing for import or export of goods from local authorities is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Denial or delay of licensing will not constitute cancellation or delay in payment for the total purchase price of these lots.
11. Unless the sale is specifically and explicitly advertised and announced as “without reserve”, each lot is offered subject to a reserve and the Auctioneer may implement such reserves by bidding through its representatives on behalf of the Consignors. Some of the lots in this sale are offered subject to a reserve. The reserve is a confidential minimum price agreed upon by the consignor and Lion and Unicorn, below which the lot may not be sold. Bidder acknowledges that a set reserve may not be relative to the estimates. A representative of Lion and Unicorn, including the Auctioneer may execute such reserves by bidding for the consignor. In any event and whether or not a lot is subject to a reserve, unless the auction is advertised or announced as “without reserve”, the auctioneer may reject any bid or raise which is not appropriate with respect to the value of such lot.
12. Florida State and County sales tax shall be applied and collected accordingly. Dealers, museums, and other qualifying parties may be exempt from sales tax upon submission of a State of Florida sales tax exemption prior to the start of the auction, for which they are bidders.
13. A buyer’s premium equal to 28% of the final bid price, to be paid by the buyer as part of the purchase price, will be added to the hammer price. This buyer’s premium is nonrefundable under any circumstance including in the event of a cancellation or a return of any lots purchased for any reason. Any presale bids must be left in writing and approved by Lion and Unicorn via our email at auctions@lionandunicorn. com. The Company’s copy of any such bid shall conclusively be deemed to be the sole evidence of same, and the Company shall not be held responsible for any failure to execute any presale bid.
14. Bidding on any item indicates your acceptance of these terms and all other terms printed within, posted, and announced at the time of sale whether bidding in person, through a representative, by phone, by Internet, or other absentee bid.
15. Lion and Unicorn and its consignors make no warranty or representation, express or implied, that the purchaser will acquire any copyright or reproduction rights to any lot sold. Any such rights generally remain with the copyright holder and/or the artist. Lion and Unicorn expressly reserves the right to reproduce any image of the lots sold in this catalog. The prevailing party to any dispute in court related to or otherwise arising out of this agreement will be entitled to recover reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs both at the trial and appellate level.
17. Lion and Unicorn reserves the right to reject any registration of a potential bidder prior to or during any sale. Lion and Unicorn also reserves the right to disable or deactivate any bidder’s account at any time, either before, after or during a sale.

"BY far the BEST auction house I have ever worked with! I have both sold and bought at auctions. Lion and Unicorn did an estate sale for my family and it was such a success."

"I have been using Lion and unicorn for several years it is a great company to work with... They go out of their way to help. I have recommended them to family and friends and highly recommend them to anyone who is considering using them."
-Steve, New York, NY
"I recently had the pleasure of working with Lion and Unicorn Auction liquidating an entire collection of pottery and art work. They assisted from the initial assessment, cataloguing and to the final sale. The presentation to the public was beautiful and the end results were better than we expected."
