1,000 SQ. FT HOME

VERRO The design and architecture of the 1,000 sq ft home, Verro, was inspired by the abstraction and physical attributes of a feather. Working through the design process, the organic shape transformed into many geometric forms evident in the exterior stairs and terraces leading up to the house. These elements cascade up the hill and attach to the main structure giving Verro the illusion of movement.

The main floor of Verro includes a kitchen and living room in a mid century modern style, separated by a central staircase. This creates an open floor plan with an easy transition to the second floor. Upstairs, a master bedroom, bath and private library overlook the lake to the north with floor to ceiling windows.

HOTEL LOBBY RE-DESIGN

INSPIRED BY NATURE This design creates a biophilic space that allows visitors to feel comfortable and relaxed. The new plan allows for easy flow through the lounge area, inviting the visitors to rejuvenate in a refreshing environment. Daltile products modify the space creating a beautiful new design that uses a variety of tile in innovative ways. The tiles are used to mimic natural structures, connecting the built environment with nature. The rock pillars dispersed with accents of plant life creates a semblance of the canyon environment. The flow of the light fixture gives subtle implication to the presence of turmoil in the sky above, making the calming environment below a refuge, which is a principle of biophilic design. All of the aspects in this piece are used to enhance the guest’s experience.

A hotel is a place where occupants come to retreat from the outside world. Much like a canyon is a sanctuary for wildlife, this lobby is a safe haven for travelers to rest. Visitors can enter this lobby to feel relieved of the hassel of daily life and refreshed by the cleansing influence of nature.

BEAT HIVE For this group project, we, as Beyond Brand Studio, designed the corporate office for Beat Hive Music Production located in Salt Lake City, Utah. This company is the new leader of the pop music industry in the Intermountain West. They are an innovative company always one step ahead in finding new and talented artists to expand the industry. They give their employees freedom to be creative and independant. We created an office that aligned with these company goals and Beat Hive’s image. All renderings and floorplans were created using CET designer.

FLOOR PLAN This open office is divided into Law, Finance, Marketing and Publishing departments. The floorplan was inspired by Beyond Brands custom pattern “Drone” designed by one of our team members. Architectural features throughout the space are also based off of key shapes in this pattern. This translates the brand image visually throughout the office creating a unique work space. NYC RESIDENCE

ONE57 A GLOBAL COUPLE MEETS NEW YORK CITY. Located in one of New York City ‘s most luxurious buildings, this modern apartment was designed with the intent of creating a home away from home for the new residents. This was done by channeling the Metropolitan Museum of Art into the design. Featured antiques from around the world can be seen throughout the space while still holding onto the modern edge of a skyline apartment.
