John Breslow Ice Hockey Center has a NHL sized (85’ by 200’) ice surface that offers fun for the entire family. Serving as the home ice for the University of NebraskaLincoln men’s and women’s club hockey teams there is never a dull moment at John Breslow Ice Hockey Center.

With 500 pairs of rental skates ranging from sizes youth 8 to adult 14, you can join them for a public skate or enroll in the Breslow Skate for skating lessons. Want to take your skating to the next level? You can learn to play hockey or learn to master your jumps with their classes. John Breslow Ice Hockey Center is also a great place to hold your next event. With an in-house concession stand and four meeting spaces available, combined with the ability to skate and/or play broomball; you can rest assured that you booked the “coolest” event possible.

The Railyard Located across the street from the Pinnacle Bank Arena, the Railyard is a year-round entertainment venue for Lincoln residents and visitors. Nebraska’s first entertainment district offers restaurants, bars, live music and a mega screen called The Cube. Live music events feature local bands, DJ’s and nationally touring artists for all ages to enjoy. Locally owned restaurants feature both regional and international flavors. A growing list of sports organizers also see The Railyard as the perfect location for events. Events held in the Railyard such as Rumble in the Railyard (wrestling), Strider Sports (youth bikes) and Canopy Street Vault (pole vaulting) have seen the potential of this area. This non-traditional venue provides versatility to sports rights holders to hold a variety of unique events. December through February, The Railyard transforms into a winter wonderland as the courtyard becomes an ice-skating rink, and the Christmas tree lighting ceremony illuminates the district for the holidays. Admission to the ice rink is free and skate rentals are available for all ages.

Speedway Village, Lincoln Nebraska’s premier sports destination, is a 53 acre sports haven with a 50,000 square foot indoor turf sports field, a high performance sports performance training gym, 9 outdoor full sized sports fields and soon an 8 court basketball facility.

Speedway Village boasts a 10,000 square foot covered outdoor viewing mezzanine that overlooks the playing fields. The indoor turf can be covered with composite flooring and hosts unique events such as the USA Roller Sports National Championships. Woods Tennis Center

Woods Tennis Center recently underwent a $6.4 million renovation which included replacing aging bubble structures with a new permanent indoor facility. The center houses six indoor courts, locker rooms, offices and an elevated viewing deck overlooking all of the courts which can accommodate 900 spectators. Flexible community space is available at the center allowing for special event rentals in addition to the tennis courts. The entire facility is handicapped accessible and was designed to meet the needs of visitors, players and families. In addition to the indoor courts, Woods Tennis Center has an additional 12 outdoor lighted courts. These outdoor courts are located next to the facility which is part of the 47-acre Woods Park.
