Couscous & Baguette is an illustrated short novel targeted to adolescents. It was developed by the Neskak Gora project, which was co-financed by the European Union through its Daphne-II programme. It is based on sociological interviews with immigrant women in Europe that were conducted by the University of the Basque Country (Spain), the University of Urbino (Italy) and the Dutch NGO Aletta. The narrative centres on a girl whose family leaves Morocco to settle in a provincial city in France. The illustrations were made by the renowned Spanish artist, Sonia Pulido.
