AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR RESEARCH INTO THE PROBLEMS OF FLIGHT WITHIN AND OUTSIDE THE EARTH’S AT M O S P H E R E , A N D F O R O T H E R PURPOSES. With this simple preamble, the Congress and the President of the United States created the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (nasa) on October 1, 1958. nasa’s birth was directly related to the pressures of national defense. After World War II, the United States and the Soviet Union were engaged in the Cold War, a broad contest over the ideologies and allegiances of the nonaligned nations. During this period, space exploration emerged as a major area of contest and became known as the space race.

The National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (naca) was a U.S. federal agency founded on March 3, 1915, to undertake, promote, and institutionalize aeronautical research. On October 1, 1958, the agency was dissolved, and its assets and personnel transferred to the newly created National Aeronautics and Space Administration (nasa).

The total amounts that nasa has been budgeted from 1958 to 2011 amounts to $526.178 billionâ€”an average of $9.928 billion per year. But with the developing of the economy, nasaâ€™s budget percentage of federal budget is continuously declining.

He considers himself a realist rather than a dreamer because in his opinion, science is forever growing and changing in way unpredictable and predictable, and also many things that were considered sci-fi in the past, are now science fact. He believes that as opposed to most fantasy that requires a large suspension of belief, sci-fi is great because it shows actual possibilities.
He is proud that his favorite genre incorporates his greatest dream. He runs a YouTube channel on which he shares astronaut food test videos weekly.

As an Astrophile, she can quickly tell you what time it is in the major cities around the world. She retweets the stunning sky photography and uses them as desktop images, and mobile backgrounds. She received her very first astronomical telescope as a birthday gift from her dad when she was twelve, and saved most of her allowance to buy other astronomical equipment in her childhood. As she grew up, she joined the Astronomy Club in her college, and then became one of the hosts of it. She is never fulfilled with getting a better vision. In her deep mind, she believes humans are not alone in the universe. Her favorite song is Across the Universe from the Beatles.
The Supernatural Fanatic is always trying to make connections between everything he can think of. He sometimes finds himself watching mystery channels on YouTube for hours. He is skeptical about governmental departments, but reads through their announcements and news to find out things that make sense to him. He has a broad appetite about information, and he would buy an old issue on EBay to find out the source of someoneâ€™s citation online. He would like to try anything to approve the existence of things that cannot explained by science even thought he never succeed. He sniffs at people who always try to explain supernatural experiences by textbook knowledge. He applied to the one-way ticket to Mars program that was hold by a Dutch company called Mars One, and started daily workouts for it.

The Cross-curricular Learner is always energetic about all kinds of explorations and nature observation activities. She has a phd in biology, but she always has curiosity in many other subjects, so she cooperates with professionals from different fields to stay on the cutting edge of researches. She went to Alaska last year to collect soil samples for her study on microbes because she likes to accomplish tasks in person. To ensure her passion for science does not wear off, she attends science competition every other year, and always looks for opportunities that she can use as a topic in next science competition. Three times a week, she works as a volunteer in the Academy of Science and loves to explain the wonders of the nature to everybody who shows interests. She keeps her schedule so full to efficiently obtain knowledge that she hardly has anytime to spend at home other than sleeping. She worships Neil deGrasse Tyson as a science communicator. In addition to publishing articles in scientific journals, she is exploring ways to teach the general public about science.

He now concentrates more on his avocational study about extraterrestrial life, and occasionally publishes his opinions online in plain English even though he knows more than half of the comments will be negative. He is planning to build a forums on the Internet so people have interests on space could communicate freely. He also contacts his Theologian friend personally to discuss his newest thoughts. He holds small reading parties for a couple of his former mentees from the California Institute of Technology. He is a corporate counsel and advisor for the Explorium because he would like to devote himself to promoting popular science for rest of his life.

In the logotype, all slashes are in 45° degrees, strokes are in the same width. Three dots’ diameters are equal with stroke width. The dots complete the letterforms of letter “A”, “S” and “A”. Also the slash of the last “A” shows the revealing of letter “S”. The radius of the corner on the top of “N”, “A”, and “A” are the same with the dots.

The area of isolation represents the minimum clear space that must be provided at all times. This area is determined by the height of the dots in the nasa logo and is proportional regardless of logo size.

COLOR The nasa signature appears mostly in full color version, but it also allows to be in one color. In specific occasion, nasa allows different treatments that do not violate the principles that described in â€œincorrect useâ€? section. Different treatment must be approved by nasa .

FULL COLOR The full color version of the nasa logo is the primary logo of the identity system. It is strongly recommended that this version be used in branded applications whenever possible. Colors that used in full color version are Space Blue and Beam Red.

SIZING The standard and minimum signature sizes described below help to ensure that nasa logo reproduces with optimal legibility. The standard logotype size has a width of 2 inches. Once every five years on average hunks of junks smash into each other. Traveling at 17,500 miles per hour, even a paint chip can blow a hole through a spacecraft, and as more collisions create more pieces of garbage, the problem grows exponentially.

To increase the chances of recovery from a global catastrophe, nasa will launch a long term project to build a shelter. A nuclear war would be unlikely to kill everyone outright, but perhaps some other catastrophe could, such as an engineered pandemic of the future.Conceivably, an adequate disaster shelter might help a small population to survive and eventually rebuild civilization. The shelter would have to be stocked with enough supplies to wait out the catastrophe. Instead of helping a small population to survive some initial catastrophe, nasa will establish an massive shelter that ideally could protect everyone in United States.
