Згідно

з офіційним переписом 1847 року так зване «Лановецьке єврейське товариство» складало 523 особи.

На початку 20 століття у Ланівцях було збудовано три синагоги. Одна – центральна велика двоповерхова будівля

523 євреї. А через 50 років, у 1897, вже було 1774 євреї (всього у місті мешкало 2525 осіб)

At the beginning of the 20th century, three synagogues were built in Lanivtsi. One is the central large two-story building and two smaller ones. According to the census data in 1847, 523 Jews lived in Lanivtsi. And 50 years later, in 1897, there were already 1,774 Jews (a total of 2,525 people lived in the city)

Після окупації німцями Ланівців у єврейському кварталі містечка (сучасний центр) у серпні 1941 року почали створювати гетто – замкнуті квартали для проживання євреїв.

А в лютому 1942 за наказом місцевої німецької влади почали туди звозити євреїв, де було зосереджено близько 5000 євреїв, яких звозили з Білозірки, Вишгородка, інших сіл. На околиці містечка було розстріляно 3587 осіб, ще 1,5 тисячі було відправлено до Вишнівця і там теж знащено.

After the German occupation of Lanivtsi in the Jewish quarter of the town (modern center) in August 1941, they began to create ghettos - closed quarters for Jews to live in. And in February 1942, by order of the local German authorities, Jews began to be transported there, where about 5,000 Jews were concentrated, who were transported from Bilozirka, Vyshhorodok, and other villages. 3,587 people were shot on the outskirts of the town, another 1,500 were sent to Vyshnivets and killed there too
