‘’Thabo’’ σημαίνει αγάπη, χαρά και ευτυχία στα αφρικάνικα. Η έμπνευση της σειράς γεννήθηκε απο αφρικάνικες εικόνες των γυναικών με το μελαμψό δέρμα, τις μπαντάνες στα μαλλιά και το λαμπερό και πηγαίο χαμόγελο, γι’ αυτό και τα ονόματα των ρούχων της σειράς είναι γυναικεία αφρικάνικα ονόματα με θετική έννοια.
