“Kidulthood” is a film about life of young teenagers in Ladbroke Grove and Latimer Road in west London. The film focus on the majority of the characters is behaving violently and lawless manner. Also young teenagers commit crimes such as theft and serious crimes for example: knife, gun and drug use. Secondly, I am going to explain about “Pride and Prejudice”.

Furthermore, I am going to compare both of the films. “Kidulthood” is a realistic film which represents Britishness today because it shows the crimes of young teenagers does for example: knife, gun, drugs, theft and teenager’s pregnancy. The areas of where they lived or hang out are exactly the same as the young teenagers gangs does in Britain today. Also the ways they dress are exactly the same for example: hoodie, jeans and trainers. “Pride and Prejudice” is an unrealistic film which represents Britishness today because it shows a young couple in love but the families does not allow them to get married and also the main character called Elizabeth Bennet have to marry to another guy that she does not love. In Britain today the family doesn’t chose their children marriage because it is their human rights to choose. Also the ways they dress are not exactly the same in Britain today for example: corset and empire silhouette. Overall, the audience will think that the both of the films are good examples of Britishness and Britishness today.
