Message from the Vice President of Administrative Services Tracey L. Richardson
The administrative services team is a group of individuals who are responsible for the following areas: payroll, accounting, purchasing, budget, risk management, facilities construction, building maintenance, landscaping, custodial services, bookstore, print shop, Performing Arts Center, facility rentals, warehouse operations, switchboard, and mail services. As you see from that lengthy list, we provide support for all of Victor Valley College (VVC) therefore we are concerned about your level of satisfaction with our services. You will receive (or may have already received) survey requests, regarding the various administrative services department, soon and we would appreciate a few minutes of your time so that we may determine how well we are serving campus needs. Our goal with this quarterly newsletter is to keep all of you informed about what we do so that you may excel at what you do at VVC. All of us in Administrative Services wish you and your family a happy and safe holiday season.

Upgrading our Facilities The water well located at the central plant was rebuilt and reinstalled after 20 years of service. This well supports all campus lake and irrigation needs.
The Central Plant chillers were completely rebuilt after 15 years of service. Here Chiller #1 is completely torn down rehabbed and rebuilt with all new factory parts.
DID YOU KNOW? Warehouse, Switch Board & Mailroom
VVCâ€™s Warehouse department consist of Monty Messer (Warehouse Leadsperson) and Fredrick Board (Warehouseman 2). Together they support the operations of the college by receiving and distributing approx. 5000 packages and over 100,000 pieces of U.S. mail to administration, faculty, staff and students campus wide.
The warehouse operations and logistics extend to our off-site locations that include: Eastside campus, Hesperia high school, and the Aviation Technology site at the Southern California Logistics Airbase. Not only do the Warehouse personnel process the mail they also coordinate communications with administration, faculty, and classified personnel for moves, classroom setups, and the storing of confidential information. Linda McDaniel is responsible for the Switchboard and Mailroom and is a vital part of VVCâ€™s mission of the college. She receives incoming and outgoing calls for faculty, management, staff and students. Linda collects, processes and distributes over 5,700 pieces of mail per day both internally and externally throughout the college.
Announcement! Please join me in welcoming our newest Payroll Technician, Hailey Teeter. Her first official day was November 14th. We are all very excited to have Hailey onboard permanently. She has been an asset to the Payroll Department these last three years with her “Can Do” attitude and excellent customer service! She is currently assigned to the Classified Hourly Payroll among her other duties and is our resident expert for online timesheets. She can be reached at extension at 2630. Welcome aboard Hailey!
It’s that time of year again - 2016 W2s In preparation for 2016 W-2 processing please review the following: o Any change to your address must be received in Human Resources no later than NOON Thursday, January 12, 2017 to ensure timely U.S. mail delivery of your W-2. For questions regarding your address, please contact Human Resources, Magdalen Chavez, firstname.lastname@example.org.

In order to register you will need your latest net pay amount which you can access from online banking or contacting your banking institution.
Payroll Warrant Mailing Notification Change
Effective January 2017 – All payroll warrants not picked up within 2 weeks of payday will be mailed the 3rd week after payday. Please be sure to update your address and/or sign-up for direct deposit.
