It’s certainly true that absence makes the heart grow fonder. While life in Australia is good, I miss my family, and have certainly gained a new appreciation for my grandmother. Her age and fragility are
more apparent from afar, but despite her body growing tired and old, there is still a sparkle in her eye. I hope the images capture something of her presence and energy.
