On November 10th 2009 a light walk was led by Light Artist Leni Schwendinger, Urban Designer Brian McGrath and Architectural Designer Ute Besenecker as a part of PLDA LightMapping NYC. Focused on the area of Old St. Patrick’s Cathedral the team leaders and students from Parsons were on site from dusk to dawn to discover ‘Shades of Night’ by documenting the light changes throughout the night. The relationship between street activity and light – correlative and counterpoint - was explored. Here, the presentation from the public event November 13, 2009.
