Photos in the sun?

If bright sunlight is in the forecast, do your best to look for a patch of shade. If that’s not possible, position students with their backs to the sun and use your flash to illuminate their faces.

Dimly lit room

If you’re using a digital single lens reflex camera with manual settings, slow down the shutter speed to allow more light to enter the camera. If you’re using your cell phone, use a tripod to steady your camera when using available light. Take test photos beforehand to determine the right setting for your space.
