MAY. It's when we at Paradise Valley Lifestyle focus on the "Women's" issue. A time when I, as publisher, get to share how honored and blessed I am to be surrounded by such great influencers and those that touch my heart in this community. It's no secret that there's an abundance of amazing women in this area. We're so fortunate! Yet, as you delve deeper and learn about a few, be sure to embrace what makes each unique, what gifts they possess, and how we, as women, can inspire and support each other. Why not nurture that with a girls getaway or some NYC shopping with a designer right here in the area? How about a room or house makeover? And meet a mother and daughter that both have found success with their businesses. My favorite part of May, though, is Mother's Day. I love being a mom, and I adore my

mom. Having lived in separate states since college, I'm thrilled she'll be moving here soon. I can't wait to share with her all the incredible women that make up this area.

She helped her grandmother, Bernadean Fuller, manage the original Stevan’s Furniture and Interior Design store, so you could say her love for this business is in her blood. As the owner of Stevan’s Consignment, Amanda has a talent for taking high-end gently used home furnishings and giving them a new life at a fraction of the original price. When she’s not collecting furniture or offering interior design services, she enjoys being with her family and building their ministry.

Trisha Anthony In an exhilarating and exciting industry like public relations, no two days are alike, and no one knows that better than Trisha Anthony. As a publicist with Gordon C. James Public Relations, she has spent the past 15 years putting people together to tell a story. One of her most treasured moments was escorting an 85-yearold volunteer to greet then-President George W. Bush when he arrived in town for an event. “I hope at 85 I’m still giving back in some way to help make this world a better place,” she says.

Pati + Kristi Brannon Before there was cake, there was La Reserve, Pati Brannon’s restaurant in the now-defunct Borgata shopping center. “I started baking cakes and my son, Scotty, pushed me to sell them,” she says. When Scotty passed away in 2006, she and her daughter, Kristi, officially opened Pati’s Rum Cakes in his honor. Word spread about the cakes, and now they’re available in eight restaurants and can be shipped nationwide. “People love our cakes because they’re baked with love and wrapped beautifully,” Pati says. “Robby Krieger of The Doors is a friend and inspired us to make the Rock Star Rum Cake.”

WHITE SANDY BEACHES, FANTASTIC SHOPPING, GREAT RESTAURANTS AND HISTORICAL CHARM ARE ALL WAITING TO BE DISCOVERED AND ENJOYED ON THE CHARMING RESORT TOWN OF CORONADO ISLAND. Located across the bay from San Diego, its a great weekend escape to a beach town with a carefree lifestyle. Coronado means the "crowned one," and the island was first discovered by Spanish explorer Sebastian Vizcaino back in 1602. The island always had the lure of a resort town, and land quickly sold back in the 1800s. The magnificent Hotel Del Coronado, built in 1888, is a must-see for its grandeur.

FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS, INTERIOR DESIGNER LYNDA MARTIN HAS BEEN CREATING BEAUTIFUL, FUNCTIONAL YET COMFORTABLE AND INVITING SPACES. Her goal is to always design spaces that best reflect her client's style and aesthetics. A native of Arizona, Lynda knew at the young age of 13 that she aspired to be an interior designer. With a degree in environmental design from Arizona State University, she moved to Hawaii shortly after graduation and spent a few years working for a small boutique studio. She eventually returned to Arizona and worked in the design studio of a high-end furniture store. As her career advanced, Lynda and three other designers formed Interior Studio Group. For the past 33 years, she has been the owner and designer of Camelback Interior Design, a full-service interior design studio.  With every project, Lynda always focuses on three key elements of design: the space to be designed, the architectural element, and the client’s style, taste, and lifestyle. “I believe the spaces you live and work in are essential to how you feel," she says. "It is important to reflect your individual style and personality.”

BIOMECHANIC DYSFUNCTION AFFECTS DIGESTIVE TRACT (BLOATING)

As with all mechanical things that are neglected, there is a point of no return. Most people are simply not educated by Doctors to take care of there bodies mechanically. Physical disabilities and most organ malfunctions (dis-ease) are a direct result of past trauma to the bodies biomechanical frame. More specifically...spinal stenosis. Similar to the front end of a car, once the mechanical parts are worn out completely, failure to function will be the result. It is imperative to your health to be proactive about the bodies biomechanical structure. Not only going to a proficient, specific and well trained biomechanical Chiropractor when you feel pain but as an active regiment to prevent failure to function.
