Davy Jones’ Dead Man’s Ball 2025

A Fright Night to Remember The Alchemist

Finance Ball 2025

was nothing short of spectacular. Held at the beautifully eerie

British Engineerium, this year’s theme, Davy Jones’ Locker, was brought to

life with spine-tingling precision and creativity. From the moment guests arrived, they were plunged into an undersea nightmare that blended

elegance with terror in equal measure. The entrance set the tone: ghostly sea captains and spooked sailors

lurked in the shadows, while terrifying characters leapt from the darkness to shrieks of delight (and genuine fear).

The transformation of the Engineerium itself was astonishing. Mist rolled

through the arches, eerie blue lighting shimmered across the ironwork, and

the haunting cries of unseen creatures

echoed through the space. Every corner revealed another detail: dripping chains, flickering lanterns and wreckage from

long-forgotten ships. It was immersive, unsettling and utterly brilliant.

Once inside, guests were treated to

a parade of extraordinary costumes. The creativity on display was off the

charts – pirates, admirals, sirens and

shipwrecked souls filled the room, each more elaborate than the last. Standout moments included a giant puffer fish,

a hapless lifeguard being “eaten” by a

shark, and of course, Keith Carr’s jawdropping turn as Davy Jones himself

– complete with tentacles, tattered coat and an uncanny presence that made even the bravest partygoers flinch. The entertainment was equally

impressive. Dancers moved like

possessed spirits through the fog, their

chilling choreography both beautiful and unnerving. The screams of the

mermaids as they were plunged into their tanks will stay with guests for

a long time, a moment that perfectly captured the night’s blend of dark fantasy and theatre.

Beyond the scares and spectacle,

there was a real sense of community

and fun. Guests embraced the theme

wholeheartedly, laughing, gasping and dancing the night away beneath the

ghostly glow of the “deep sea.” It was a night that balanced performance,

creativity and pure escapism. In other

words, exactly what The Alchemist Ball has become known for.

By the time the lights came up, one thing was certain: the 2025 Ball raised the bar once again. A huge congratulations to everyone involved in turning the Engineerium into the stuff of nautical nightmares. If you weren’t there, you missed one hell of a voyage. The ball was created by the team at Alchemist Finance Solutions, along with a talented group of creative associates. The preparations for the 2027 ball are already underway!
