who have really shaken up the world of wine, influencing how and what we consume today. James said: ‘We have wines lovingly made by artisan producers from all over the world.’ The vast majority of wines on offer are quirky, unusual, and not widely available and James believes that the vast range can satisfy any choice from everyday drinking wines through to the very best Burgundy you can buy. VINo13 also stocks only the finest Scottish gins, vodkas and rum. The recent explosion of gin production in Scotland has seen an equal rise in the market for premium spirits.
After 35 years in a design career James Kelly has decided to follow his heart and a hunch that there was a gap in the market for a shop selling the kind of wines that you are just not going to find on a supermarket shelf. James has a passion for good wine and good food and he can now share these with the good company of his new customers calling in at VINo13, at 13 St James’ Terrace, Kilmacolm. It has been a labour of love and much dedicated deliberation to pick the 260 wines on the shelves; and they are all there after being sampled and considered by James himself. James Kelly’s life-long enjoyment of good wine has grown into a wealth of knowledge and contacts within the trade and he can offer sound, experienced advice. This includes understanding your own palate and preferences and selecting wines to your own personal taste and matching wines to foods. Why not take your party or dinner menu and have James recommend wines for you. You will find many old favourites stocked alongside new grape combinations James has delighted in finding; the ‘Maverick’ producers
