Resist the urge to be like everyone else. You’ve seen clothes with labels that read “one size fits all.” While that may be true for nightshirts and baseball caps, it’s not true for discovering what makes you unique. The desire to fit in can be a powerful pull in your life. It is up to you to resist the urge to be like everyone else. When you identify and develop your gifts, you’re on your way to figuring out your purpose, passion, and fulfillment in life. We are all different, and our unique abilities may take a while to surface. No worries. Part of getting to know yourself involves discovering what you’re good at and what you like to do. It can take years to figure out these things, and there’s no need to rush. You are a precious person, and this book is designed to help you see the scope and range of who you are as you chart your options and your course toward a fulfilling career and life.
