Center for Lawyering Skills

Liberty Law provides a superior education in the context of the Western legal tradition. We believe that a quality legal education can only be achieved when traditional, substantive courses of law are integrated with a complete practical skills curriculum and a solid grounding in the foundations of law within a Christian worldview.

Our innovative practical skills program offers the most comprehensive skills curriculum in the nation. The six-course curriculum equips students with the skills they need to practice law from day one. Our program consists of two tracks: planning and litigation.

Our core curriculum meets all ABA requirements. In addition, we offer several areas of concentration.

Areas of Concentration: • Advocacy • Appellate Advocacy • Business Law • Constitutional Law • Criminal Justice • Family and Juvenile Law • International Law* • Planning • Property • Taxation • Trial Advocacy

The goal of the center is to assist students in the development of strong and effective legal writing skills during every stage of law school.

The Academic Support Program assists law students in achieving their full academic potential. It is designed to help students with class preparation, class participation, and post-class review prior to taking law school examinations.
