We have made it easier than ever before for students to get involved and make a difference to Leeds Met, I want to carry that on get more students involved in our forums so they can make change happen in the areas they need to see it happen. The more active members we have the greater change we can bring. I will work to get more income streams, more grants, more government funding to make sure that we can have money to spend on students. I have worked tireless to earn the respect of everyone from the council to Leeds Uni, this has improved our campaigns, made our voice louder made us a better union and I want to build on that so we become even better. To continue to make Education our core priority, we have to continue to lobby, challenge and work the university to improve education standards. Use the Annual Student Survey to not only find the problems but to gain the solutions to them Work closely with the Athletic Union to help it carry on its great successes and to make sure there voice is heard within in the union and the university Extend and develop the work of the Knowledge crime partnership to see the reduction of crime in your neighbourhood carry on. Every student deserves protection, security and re assurance when they rent a house and I will continue to lobby and protest on a local and national level to improve standards for student housing.
I don't promise the world, but I do I promise a better union, a better university and a better student experience. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I have more to say about why I should be President but I have even more time to listen to you. Find me and come tell me what you want.
