One of the most important ways you can get (and keep) positive energy in your life is with the company you keep. Happy, self confident, people don’t put others down. They might provide constructive criticism but they won’t put others down. This tells you a lot about the person who criticises you. Some people are very negative about others to make them feel better about themselves. Nobody should let anyone put them down, or make them feel any less important. If people let them get away with it they will see no wrong and carry on treating others the same. Stand up for yourself, show them that it isn’t acceptable to talk to anyone like that. Your self confidence and positivity will soon pick itself up. Do your friends uplift you, or bring you down? Are they critical, or complementary? Ideal friendships provide support when you’re down, fun when you’re up, wisdom when you’re lost, and positive regard. Creativity is a part of everyone’s life, yet when it comes to defining it many people struggle. In order to do many jobs or have hobbies we need to be creative in some way. I am looking at creativity in terms of Visual Arts such as; fine artists, designers and illustrators, and what it is in that respect. In regards to researching my thesis I will use both primary and secondary resources. My primary research will be a survey in which I aim to get a minimum of 30 responses. The main target audience for this will be the creative type, but I have no preference of age range. In order to get a varied set of results I will have to ask some people who aren’t creative. This way I will be able to compare creative people with uncreative. An example of what I am going to ask is; On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being low) How creative would you say you are?’ And ‘If you currently study a creative subject, have you ever been made to

feel inadequate about your course by other students studying an ‘intellectual’ course?’ I would also like to contact the university counsellor and hopefully organise a meeting to ask them a few questions in order to get some more information, in particular some figures showing how many students studying a creative course have contacted them with issues that could support my research. In terms of secondary research I will use the research that I have already found, and continue to find more in order to be able to come to strong conclusions. Searching for journals, news articles, videos and books throughout the writing process of my dissertation will help keep my research up-todate. The key texts I will be looking at are. When you are at peace you attract positive energy and when you resist you create negative vibes that reflect back on your being. It’s a simple choice and yet most people unconsciously choose to live in negativity. It’s not your boss, colleagues, parents, ex or the traffic, but your own perception that creates stress and negative energy. Circumstances are neutral. You will generate positive vibes when your inner state is one of alignment and congruence, instead of being resistive. Having positive energy in your life is a part of being creative, passionate, and even successful; without it, every task and your overall attitude can be painful and regretful. If you notice the attitude of successful and genuinely happy people, it’s often accompanied with a balanced perspective on stress and life in general; these people just don’t let things get under their skin! It’s not an easy characteristic to have, and it’s certainly not something to ‘obtain.’ Instead, it usually just involves a shift in energy. There is an old saying that the definition of insanity is repeating the same action over and over but expecting a different result. The only way to get a new result is to find a different way of doing things. Here are a few suggestions. The more you resist the more you will suffer. Whenever you try to control a life situation, you will feel stressed out and this will generate a lot of negative energy. Just imagine life to be a raging river, does it serve any purpose to struggle? Wouldn’t it be much more relaxing and peaceful if you just let go and allow yourself to float with the flow? People who stay surrendered and relaxed generate a lot of positive energy and attract the grace of life. Some of the opposition, stubbornness, resistance, and other passive-aggressive manoeuvres of people are designed to express anger and/or to get a reaction from others around them. Perhaps you subconsciously think that if you worry enough, you can prevent bad things from happening. But the fact is worrying can affect the body in ways that may surprise you. When worrying becomes excessive, it can lead to feelings of high anxiety and even cause you to be physically ill. Worry has not served any purpose to this date for anyone. Whatever has to happen will happen, there is nothing you will achieve by worrying about it. In fact what you worry about will not even happen most of the times. So why waste energy dwelling on worries and stress? You are unconsciously creating a lot of negative energy inside you which is harmful to your whole being. Just plan practically and leave the rest to life it might even go your way. Worrying is feeling uneasy or being overly concerned about a situation or problem. With excessive worrying, your mind and body go into overdrive as you constantly focus on “what might happen.” In the midst of excessive worrying, you may suffer with high anxiety, even panic during waking hours. Many chronic worriers tell of feeling a sense of impending doom or unrealistic fears that only increase their worries, this will not help you. Ultra-sensitive to their environment and to the criticism of others, excessive worriers may see anything and anyone as a potential threat.Chronic worrying affects your daily life so much that it interferes with your appetite, lifestyle habits, relationships, sleep, and job performance. Many people who worry excessively are so anxiety-ridden that they seek relief in harmful lifestyle habits such as overeating, cigarette smoking, or using alcohol and drugs.

Anxiety is a normal reaction to stress. Ongoing anxiety, though, may be the result of a disorder such as generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, or social anxiety. Anxiety disorders are commonplace in the U.S., affecting nearly 40 million adults. Anxiety manifests itself in multiple ways and does not discriminate by age, gender, or their race. Worry has not served any purpose to this date for anyone. Whatever has to happen will happen, there is nothing you will achieve by worrying about it. In fact what you worry about will not even happen most of the times. So why waste energy dwelling on worries and stress? Positive energy can go a long way in ensuring that your home and work environment is calm and relatively anxiety free. If you have ever worked in an office with people who are constantly giving off negative energy you surely know what it feels like. You feel suffocated by this energy, and often times it wears off on others. The past is past, it has no reality than as a memory trace. Can you live in such simplicity? After all if you don’t continuously think up a bad memory you will not feel any resentment you once had within. Control is an illusion, we can’t ‘control’ what happens to us, but we can learn how to deal with anxiety in a positive manner. People today have enough to worry about, never mind worrying about the things we have already worried about in the past. Time passes too fast too dwell, Some people may believe that our lives are panned out for us as soon as we are born, but some believe we make our own fate. Whichever option you follow, or even if you don’t think either, the past is in the past. What use is worrying about it. We can’t change it all we can do is look forward and make sure we don’t make the same mistakes again.
