Invest in your future Invest in human rights The International LGBT Human Rights Summit The International LGBT Human Rights Summit is the LGBT Excellence Centre’s flagship event in the UK. The Summit is a two-day public event which includes plenary discussions, panel sessions, networking opportunities, and social events. All events are open to the public and take place at the Park Inn Hotel in Cardiff. WHY SHOULD I SPONSOR THIS EVENT?
The Business Case
Characterised by high brand loyalty, significant size, and high disposable income, the desirable LGBT demographic makes the opportunities highlighted in this proposal too promising to overlook. For these reasons, companies are interested in developing a practical strategy for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) market.
Smart organisations and companies target the LGBT consumer market because of these unique attributes:
The International LGBT Human Rights Summit is the LGBT Excellence Centre’s flagship event in the UK. With its website, enewsletters, digital publications, along with its Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Issuu presence, the International LGBT Human Rights Summit allows businesses to reach out to LGBT audiences across the globe.
• 92% of LGBT people are likely to consider a brand that is known to provide equal workplace benefits to all of their employees, including gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender.
Your business needs to reach this lucrative, valuable market and the Summit is the most effective, convenient, expert way of doing that: Focussing directly on its high-earning Summit audience, the LGBT community is a target market that would directly benefit your company - the Summit can offer a range of ways to successfully achieve this. Last year, the Summit attracted 70 speakers, 350 participants and 600 online viewers from 56 countries (128 locations) and our websites and online media received over 30,000 hits – this is without including shared links, email forwards, and inclusion in other websites, media, and newsletters! Because the LGBT Excellence Centre has such a broad audience and multi-channel presence, we are in a unique position to offer market access and knowledge to help our business partners get the best from the LGBT market.
• 81% of LGBT people are likely to consider a brand that supports charities or causes important to them. • 64% of LGBT people are more likely to purchase everyday household products from companies that market directly to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people. • 20% of LGBT households have children, therefore LGBT consumers have more discretionary income to spend than the average family – this gives them more per capita buying power than many population segments. • LGBT consumers are more likely to consider purchasing a product from a company if their ad targets them directly.
