A MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT FROM RICK ALLEN

FROM RICK

T

oday, we are excited about the next chapter of Light for the Lost and Men’s Ministries. In November 2016, I was asked to oversee our National Men’s Ministries department in addition to LFTL. As

our national team and district LFTL and MM directors processed how this could benefit men across the USA, we determined to put our focus on evangelism missions through LFTL and discipleship

through MM study resources, two primary elements of the new testament church. We want the men in the pews, and the pastors who lead them, to be our emphasis. We are committed to help men be priests in their homes, churches and marketplaces. We believe missional men should be discipled, CONTINUED ON PAGE 2

and discipled men should be missional. Since 2013 we have provided churches with a powerful LFTL resource called “Celebrate the Light,” a multimedia resource that helps pastors share with their congregations how LFTL

Hundreds of churches and individuals use “Celebrate the Light” and faithfully pray and financially support LFTL. Over the past two years, MM has developed men’s discipleship resources that are second to none. All of our MM discipleship resources are online, downloadable, and free to any individual, small group or church. Each month hundreds of discipleship lessons are accessed by men in the U.S. and other countries. We are currently working on creating a MM launch

kit which churches can use to start a spirit empowered men’s group. This brings us to today. As you’ve already noticed we have changed the name of Spotlight to 360 Spotlight. Here’s the reason for the change. At LFTL and MM, we realized we needed to present a 360-degree, full circle ministry that ministers to “the complete man” in this publication. For each of us to be what I call a 360 Man, we must live out the five functions of the church outlined in Acts 2:4247 – connect, grow, serve, go and worship. A 360Man utilizes these functions to become complete in his

Here are a few of the enhancements we are making: 1. We will continue providing LFTL stories and resources to encourage and assist you in reaching the lost for Christ through this ministry. 2. 360 Spotlight will highlight new MM discipleship resources we’ve made available for men to use in local Bible studies, on missions trips, Holy Land trips, at district ministry events, and in developing strategies to strengthen existing men’s ministries in their churches. 3. We will launch 360MAN, an initiative inviting men to give monthly to the ministries of LFTL and MM. The support of this faithful 360Man network will help sustain and enhance MM at the district level, the national level, and also support the FireBible. As you may know, the FireBible is the number one study Bible in the world. Currently, the FireBible is available in over 50 languages, with 50 more to come.

Would you consider joining our new 360Man network? You can scan this QR code with your phone (a QR code reading app can be downloaded in the app store). The QR code will take you to our 360Man sign up page where you can enter your information and start your monthly support.

360Man sign up is also at www.360man.ag.org

You can get more information on these adjustments at our websites: MEN.ag.org and LFTL.ag.org. Please feel free to share your comments, questions or concerns. We enjoy hearing from you. We pray that God will continue to bless you and your family this summer and throughout the rest of 2018. Rick Allen National Director MM/LFTL

Changes in LFTL and MM Office of Communication

W

e have some family news. This summer, we said farewell to Mandy Kennedy and her family as they moved to another part of the country. Mandy was with LFTL for eight years, overseeing our publications and communications. Her leadership skills, ability to navigate transition heart for missions and discipleship, and her friendship amazed me. She blessed our team deeply. Please pray for them as they adjust to new schools and surroundings! Dan Kersten now steps into the role of Director of Development and Communications for LFTL and MM. Dan’s heart for missions and discipleship is evident to all who know him. Dan is upgrading our

social media presence, overseeing future 360 Spotlight issues, directing the 2019 “Celebrate the Light” production, and will be involved in much more. I sense God walking with the team as we enact His plans! Once again, THANK YOU for allowing us to grow, adapt, and minister in new ways so we can move LFTL and MM into the next chapter of missions and discipleship.
