WORDS FROM RICK

T

here’s no place like home. Doesn’t matter where you live, the language you speak, or places you go; there’s no place like home. However, for thousands upon thousands of people today, they have no home to go to tonight. They have decided that they can no longer live under the oppression of their government, regulations of religion, and the pressure of wondering if their loved ones will live to see tomorrow. So they flee. They leave behind , their homes, family members a for and friends to search better place to live and raise their families. This happens every day as thousands travel to parts of

Europe and Asia seeking a new home. Many travel with just their immediate family, no friends, no connections, and no real destination, but they feel they must leave. For the past couple of years, Light for the Lost along with AGWM has placed evangelism resources into the hands of missionaries in refugee camps, safe homes, and villages to assist those who believe all hope could be gone. This year alone LF TL funding has purchased tens of thousands of Bibles, evangelism tracks, and resources to give hope to the hurting. I thank you from the

depths of my heart for your investment into this most urgent request, so we can continue to deliver hope to the hopeless. Each gift you give will bring the hope of Jesus Christ to someone. Through your gift they will find the truth, the truth that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. At this time of need, it is exactly what we will continue to do; share Jesus Christ, the hope of the , world, so they can finally say , “There is a place called home and it is in Jesus Christ.”

SEEKING HOPE

T

o date, 20,000 refugees have been baptized through AGWM and close partnerships that we know of. One of the most unique stories happened a few weeks ago. One of our refugees who received Jesus in Vienna was relocated to Rome. We’ve continued to keep in touch with him and after realizing he did not receive as much help as expected, the refugees in Vienna received a love offering for

their friend in Rome. It was a complete heartfelt initiative to give even out of their poverty. This demonstrates how they are growing in their walk with God, not only receiving but giving. Thank you LFTL for seeing the needs of these refugees and for helping us show them the love of Christ. Larry Henderson World Missionary

STATS Globally, nearly one in 200 children is a refugee. The number of child refugees has more than doubled in the last decade. Over 1.2 million refugees come through Europe in 2015 and 2016. At least one out of every 71 people who attempted to cross by sea to Europe in 2016 died.

3,000 refugees rescued off Libya on March 19. Estimated 23,000 refugees to Europe in the first three months of 2017.

LFTL PROVIDES A WAY

T

hough our small African nation is 96% Islamic, the church of Jesus Christ is growing. In the main Assemblies of God church, many nationalities are represented. But the churches away from the capital city consist of indigenous people who risk loss to become Christians. Discipleship is presently the most pressing need of the church. Light for the Lost has provided a way that every believer can have access

to materials that will encourage growth in their personal walks with God. Pastors now have access to Fire Bibles. And we have at our fingertips culturally appropriate evangelism tools. Thank you for your sacrificial giving, which allows Light to come to the Lost of Gambia! Scott and LaVonna Ennis World Missionaries

MISSED FLIGHT

W

hen a young Mexican girl missed her flight from Madrid to Mexico, she had to spend an extra night in Madrid and found a hotel in the center of Madrid near the Puerta de Sol, where we do our evangelism. In her frustration, she takes a smoke and comes up out of the subway… where she receives her first LFTL tract. A few steps later she receives another. After receiving 5 tracts, she stopped to listen to the Christians share their testimony. One of

our workers spoke to her and she gave her heart to Jesus. She was encouraged to find a church upon arriving in Mexico. Today, she has been baptized and participates in her church´s street evangelism. It’s amazing how God can use a missed flight to change someone’s life. Thank you, LFTL, for providing us with the resources we use daily to introduce people to Christ.
