Hi there! Hunter here. When I first arrived at LHS I was so confused. My owner was so ill he could no longer take care of me. He knew the best place for me to receive the care I needed was at LHS.
:
Dogs, dogs, dogs, so what about us feisty felines? I was worried, in pain, and hungry when I was picked up and taken to LHS. But the nice people of LHS removed my deformed leg, fattened me up, and spoiled me rotten (as every cat should be)!
Do you believe in second chances? Your Lexington Humane Society sure does! Here are just a few of the animals who are embarking on a new life thanks to our help and your support. These four sweethearts have been through a lot, and thanks to support from our community they have received the second chance they deserve.
My name’s Pelé and I’m a lucky dog to be with LHS. They had to amputate my injured leg, but I am a beast and I was up and playing the very next day, no big deal! The staff and my foster family are taking great care of me. I am one happy pup!

Table Vendors:
Well, you would never know it looking at me now, but I was once homeless and helpless. My stunning blue eye matted shut from months of neglect. Luckily I found my way to LHS where they cleaned me up, treated my pain, and stitched up the deep wounds caused by such severe matting. 3
Thank you for joining your Lexington Humane Society as we strut our stuff to raise money for the animals we love so much. Mutt Strut is one of our largest events of the year and the money raised comes at a critical time when the number of animals in need of our help is at its highest. Once again Fido Fest follows the strut. Please hang around after the walk to enjoy food, fun, and lots of Fidos. Thank you for helping us celebrate all things LHS and for helping us Give Love, Teach Love, and Adopt Love. President
