Make a will fortnight Where there is a Will - its YOUR WAY! Make a Will Fortnight It is estimated that around half the population of England and Wales does not have a Will. It could be simply a question of not getting round to it, or there being difficult issues to address, or because of the assumption that the whole estate will pass to the right person without a will. This is not always the case even with the introduction of changes to the intestacy rules as a result of the inheritance and trustees Powers Bill having received Royal assent on 14th May. It is particularly important for unmarried couples who are living together to make a Will. The surviving partner may receive a pension or lump sum death in service benefit, but this may be insufficient to meet their long-term needs.

Local solicitors are once again giving their time and professional advice for free, to write a single or mirrored Will or codicil in return for a donation to the hospice between the 9-20th June.
