Photography by Victoria Wall. Styling by Anna Hampton.

LILLIE Lillie Magazine celebrates a beautifully curated sustainable lifestyle. We’re about designing warm inviting homes, preparing wholesome meals for loved ones, growing our own veggie patch because we can, and making yor own holiday gifts in spite of materialism. We’re about shopping for a new dress that looks as good on as it is good to the earth. Most importantly, Lillie is a new hybrid that starts conversations with women who have a conscience. Women who care about what goes onto their body, in their mouths, and around WKHLUKRPHEXWWKH\QHYHUZDQWWRVDFULÀFHSHUVRQDOVW\OHZKLOH doing so. And since these are the standards we now live by, we don’t feel the need to preach and fuss about every eco detail, be- cause quite frankly, these things should be the norm. If you feel the same way, welcome home. Welcome to Lillie Magazine.

Today we meet Brooklyn transplant Chef Merida, a XQLTXH YRLFH RQ WKH IDUPWRWDEOH IURQWLHU 2ULJLQDOO\ from Vancouver, and with a background as a woman’s clothing designer, Chef Merida is now making her mark with Vegan Secret Supper, where she serves decadent, mouthwatering cuisine that not only tastes amazing but is also good for you. She’s not here to convince you or change your mind about vegan cuisine; instead, she’s here to enlighten and inspire your culinary palette. A third of her Supper Club is made up of patrons that have returned after their Ă€UVWYLVLWDQGQRZIROORZKHUUHOLJLRXVO\DQGWKHUHVWLV made up of newbies waiting to be inspired. Chopping away at some beautiful, robustly colored beets, Chef Merida prepares this evening’s four-course dinner, set to begin at 7 p.m. in her spacious Brooklyn loft. Fully aware of the stereotypes and preconceived notions about vegan cooking, Chef Merida prefers to take the emphasis out of the word “veganâ€? and instead focus on enjoying the overall experience of healthy eating and cooking. As a chef and restaurateur, Chef Me-
