The awards ceremony
The 2015 awards-giving ceremony fittingly took place in the winning lobby of the Sandton Reylof. The managers of the winning hotels, the awards judges and journalists from the local press and TV station AVS, were all in attendance. After enjoying a tempting array of cocktails and dishes served in the Sandton’s Lof Champagne Bar, the official handing over of the awards certificates took place in the lobby’s library and living room. Receiving the award for the Sandton Grand Hotel Reylof were Duco Heijbroek, Sandton’s Regional Manager, Jaap Blijleven, Hotel Manager and Nancy Vanden Berghe, Director of Sales and Marketing. “This award recognition is a real motivation for us… and certainly as we are a small player amongst all these well-known brands” commented Nancy Vanden Berghe of the Sandton Grand Hotel Reylof, winner of the lobby category. “After 4 years walking into this hotel each morning, we still always think ‘what a great and beautiful hotel this is to work for’.” The award for Best Hotel Room for Corporate Travellers 2015 was then presented to Johan and Isabelle Creytens, owners of the Heritage Hotel. “Winning this award for Best Corporate Hotel, for the second time in a row, is an unbelievably beautiful reward for our dedicated hotel and restaurant team” commented Johan Creytens. “This award gives us at the Heritage an extra oxygen boost to surpass our boundaries of personal service! “ The awards ceremony was the subject of articles in De Gentenaar and de Streetkrant, as well as a TV news broadcast on regional channel AVS.
