pure light MASTER THESIS A premium vehicle concept for the Chinese market The life in the tier-one cities as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong is getting more and more stressful as a matter of facts the need torelax and for eco-luxury is rising. Serenity and peace are becoming more and more important. In the future we will buy less but better products and the ones we choose will probably speak with a lower and more subtle voice. Fewer and more silent products will give space to our dreams. The 4 people vehicle pure light is inspired by Taoism and uses magnetic levitation technology. The floating feeling, the ease of movement and silence are key elements to create mental space.

The research concluded that pure light is a premium vehicle for 4 passengers using magnetic levitation. It is inspired by Taoism: The posture of the flying crane, the calmness of the flower and delicateness of porcelain.

Pure Light concept needs infrastructure - magnetic rails. From my experience in China I can see that the government is already investing into similar concepts for Chinas transport. The use of shuttle services in Chinas upper class is very common at the moment. This is why I see pure light as a premium shuttle service in 2030.

SCENARIO


Using magnetic levitation technology made perfect sense for my concept to create an inner city vehicle for Chinas future cities. The floating feeling, the ease of movement and silence are key elements to create mental space.

The lounge seat in the back is protected by the wings the blend the noisy city away and directing the view towards the sky to create a sense of space.

The wings are holding the interior and are interacting with more automotive white structure which is holding the superconductors needed for the levitation.


The wings can be filled with light together with the electrochromatic layer this creates the opportunity to totally blend away the stressful surrounding.


Automotive elements in the back of the vehicle are designed to create trust.

The interior is focusing on comfort . The seats are inspired by porcelain. Technogel between the layers ensure the seating comfort.

LUCIFER My ultimative personal vehicle is inspired by China’s youth. During my internship at Audi Strategy China I learnt a lot about getting to know a culture and discovering that what I expected was not reality. Reality is that China is full with power and knowledge my mind can never imagine. I choose that this ultimative personal vehicle had to be designed under the idea of a trend in China’s youth I experienced.

FERRO TATA FERRO is a 4 seater city car whose design of has been inspired by the material ferrofluid. Ferrofluid has a behaviour which influenced the design strongly: It reacts to magnetic power and forms interesting geometrical structures, which are growing out of tensioned and calm surfaces. ARCHITECTURE HIMMELSTUERMER pillars are like buildings: Once they are built, they will rest at their place the whole year. The project

GTE was driven by the idea to showcase an EV hypercar for Ferrari.

Our aim was to advance the architecture of the hypercar through evolving technologies, primarily electric power. In the design, we are focusing on the unique architecture and packaging offered by the EV Powertrain. The small footprint of the EV Powertrain allowed unique volumes to evolve naturally. To sufficiently cool the batteries that power the GTE , we placed F1 inspired side pods to create an air tunnel to move the flow of air over the batteries. Combining this with the one plus one seating arrangement for a minimum frontal area creates a dramatic blend of performance and beauty fit only for a Ferrari.
