SUSTAINABILITY LEADS OUR EVERY DESIGN PART 1 GABON It is a matter of utmost importance to produce our furniture in harmony with nature. Our pioneering and very successful design, to start the manufacturing of our high-quality furniture in Gabon, was based on its abundant, self-sustaining forests and the quality and beauty of the wood in Gabon. Sustainability has many aspects in the woodworking industry. The most important is sustaining the forests on our beautiful planet. In a real sense, sustainability in the woodworking industry relates to the forests from which the wood comes.

For a forest to sustain itself, it is important to ensure that no more wood is felled than can be regrown naturally.

The world-renowned „wood Zentralblatt Germany“, in its detailed research, (Reference 92(141):2474) came to the conclusion:

There is no better method to grow trees than an abundant and self-sustaining forest. In a self-sustaining forest, the conditions and resources are harmonious from both a local and a global aspect.

In Gabon, the natural regeneration of Zebreli and Wenge Wood is abundant and self-sustaining. In 1 Hectare, a stunning amount of 2700 seedlings have been found. (Zebreli and Wenge are the precious hard woods we use to make furniture for you.)

Producing in our own factory, close to the forest also allows us to handle the entire chain of production ourselves. We transport the wood with our own trucks to our own sawmill, then we air dry the wood and finally dry them in our seasoning chambers, using the latest technology, before we start the high-quality manufacturing of the furniture.
