Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival bonnaroo.com WHERE
Bonnaroo outdoes its competition by upping the ante to four full days of music, across ten stages (versus Coachella’s five). The annual music and arts festival is set on a 700-acre farm just an hour southeast of Nashville, Tennessee. Rock stars U2 and Red Hot Chili Peppers headline this year, alongside The Weeknd, Chance the Rapper, Major Lazer, Flume, and Lorde (are you noticing a pattern of who’s on tour?). At the event, you can keep fit with a variety of yoga classes known as “Yoga Roo” and the 5k race “Run Roo.” Bonnaroo also aspires to be the greenest festival to set the standard in sustainability and hosts “Planet Roo” where non-profits exhibit and share their mission to go green.
WHAT TO BRING
Driving out to the farm will no doubt be gridlock traffic, so fill up your tank before you start the trip. Rain is not uncommon for June in Tennessee, so pack rain gear just in case! Bring your favorite athleisure outfits if you’re planning to participate in Yoga Roo or Run Roo.
General 4-day passes go for $325, but $555 to include a shuttle service from Nashville. VIP Passes are available for $1030 and accommodate for VIP Lounges, preferred parking, exclusive viewing areas, free merch and yoga classes on-site as well as a VIP pre-party before the festival. ■
