Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival
Weekend 1 April 14-16, Weekend 2 April 21-23
Does Coachella really need an introduction? This mega-music festival in the desert attracts 99,000 people from around the world who come together to enjoy an eclectic mix of radio-hit headliners, underground bands, and often a reunion of a classic group. This year, the top acts include Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga (remember that epic Superbowl performance?). Get your mix of hip-hop with rappers Schoolboy Q and Future, dance with top EDM DJ’s like Dillon Francis, Martin Garrix and Madeon, and chill out with Lorde, the XX, and Bon Iver. You get to enjoy a little bit of everything!
Fyre Cay, Exumas, Bahamas
Weekend 1 April 28-30, Weekend 2 May 5-7
Hands down, Fyre Festival is shaping up to be the most luxurious music festival of 2017, but don’t expect it to be easy to get to: the extraordinary festival is held on a private island tucked away in the Exumas, Bahamas. The tickets are pricey, but it includes all-inclusive accommodations, meals, and private airfare from Miami. This will be the premier Fyre Fest, but it’s starting out with a bang. The festival linked up with supermodels Alessandra Ambrosio, Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski (just to name a few) to officially announce the inaugural Fyre Festival on their Instagrams. Now, Fyre is trickling out their impressive headliners one-by-one, beginning with Kanye West’s group G.O.O.D. Music Family, and Diplo’s DJ trio Major Lazer. Expect a fabulous weekend alongside the festival elite.
WHAT TO BRING
WHAT TO BRING
Coachella is just outside of Palm Desert, so prepare for temperatures as hot as 100° midday and 50’s overnight. Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated, and utilize the water refill stations. The entire venue is over 100 acres, so comfortable walking shoes are mandatory!
$399 for general festival entry, all three days. Car camping pass and/or shuttle passes are extra. Looking for a slice of luxury in the desert? For $7500 you and a friend receive 3-day passes to enjoy the weekend in fully furnished, air conditioned safari-style tents, along with VIP access and golf-cart shuttles to & from the venue. Want the VIP experience but skip the glamping? Purchase a VIP pass for $899 for access to two on-site VIP lounges for shade, extra restrooms and more food & beverage vendor options.
This will be the first-ever Fyre Festival, so no one truly knows what to expect, but one thing is for sure: pack your hottest bikinis and a quality camera. The location couldn’t be more picturesque, and you’re going to want to document this weekend of a lifetime.
There are several “package” options, which include festival passes, private round-trip flights between Miami and Bahamas, round-trip boat to Fyre Cay, accommodations and meals. Cheapest option is $1795 if purchasing solo. Want to get luxurious? The most deluxe option is $49,999 per person to stay in a mansion on the “VIP Island” alongside the performers. Want to skip the accommodation fees? For $1000, you can dock your own personal yacht or sailboat on the island and still receive festival passes and meals.
