Warrants current as of Nov. 19

On Oct. 20th at Little Fork Church, the Culpeper Minutemen announced the community award recipients from nominations submitted by local Fire, EMT and Police Departments. The honorees were as follows: Tiffany C. Edwards for her support role to the sworn members of area 15 of the Va. State Police and Detective Charles A. Polizzi from the Town of Warrenton Police Department. These two individuals received the Law Enforcement Commendation Medal. The Culpeper Police Department nominated police officer John Slaughter (pictured) for the 2018 Sons of the American Revolution Heroism Award for his actions on May 23, 2018 at Culpeper Medical Center. His training as a Crisis Intervention team member allowed him to successfully communicate and help to diffuse a life threatening situation. Awards were given to citizens for their support and giving back to their communities. Melanie Bayne was given the SAR Martha Washington medal for her support and help with the Minuteman Chapter. The Silver Good Citizenship awards were given to Mrs. Joan Broughton and Mr. Jake Muscar both of Warrenton.
