Blogging is more popular than ever, with new platforms and new ways to write emerging every day. But what makes an excellent project blog, and how can you start one? In this half day workshop you’ll learn what blogs are, who writes them, and where you can find them. Discover the history of blogging, inspiration for creating a blog and how to start and maintain a project blog. We’ll help you decide what to write about and how to make it great and how to engage and develop an audience. We want to help make Leeds a child friendly city – a place where children are valued, supported, enjoy growing up, and look forward to a bright future. This workshop gives you an opportunity to say why you think Leeds is child friendly or how you think it could become more child friendly. You’ll learn about filmmaking techniques, shot types, shooting and editing and then get to make your own short film about what Leeds means to you.
