Frequently Asked Questions: Locations Q What is the source? A the source is EM Media’s interactive online database of locations, crew and facilities. Q What types of locations are included on your database? A We have a full A-Z list of locations, from stately homes to terraced houses, and airfields to viaducts. We are interested in all shapes and sizes of locations, as long as they are in the East Midlands*! Q How do I get my location listed? A What you need to do is download and fill in our locations registration form, then email, fax or post this back to us. We also need a selection of good quality images of your location which you can either send in via email, or if you have a large number of images, or they are extremely high resolution, then you should post them to us. A Once we have received your information your listing will appear on the source. There may be a slight delay while we input your data. Q What will be included in my listing? A Your listing will comprise a selection of the images you have sent us and the county you are based in. It will NOT include any of your personal information or contact details. Your contact details will only be made available to registered production companies with a current project. For more information about this see our terms and conditions. Q Is there a fee involved? A There is no charge for a standard location listing on the source. However, there is the option to pay a small fee for an enhanced listing. A Visitor numbers to the source have grown steadily from 5,982 in 2004 to 39,421 in 2007. Q Who uses the source? A the source already has a reputation as being the first port of call for any production visiting the East Midlands region. Visitors to the source over the past year have included location scouts from Working Title Films, production coordinators from BBC Films, production personnel from Channel 4, Universal Pictures and Warp X, along with actors and directors including Pawel Pawlikowski, Anton Corbijn and Samantha Morton. Q How many enquiries do you currently get? A The Locations Team received on average 15 enquiries a month, that’s roughly four per week.
