Ellipses Following the theme of boundaries what I did for the first three figures is use the same original shape and blended the ellipses only changing the order of which to blend first to create the different figures. For the other four figures, to explore the idea more I kept the order of the blending the same but changed where the eliipses were positioned.

Ruled Surface My focus for this project was to have one set of boundaries, but have the points that connect alternate. So for the first drawing have the beginning of the boundaries connect to each other, but for the second drawing have the beginning of one boundary and the end of the other boundary connect. To continue even further with manipulating the boundaries I over lapped the two drawings to creat the third drawing and as a basis for the model.

Boolean The boundary for this project was a 12x12x12 cube, so what I did was to break through the boundaries and have it so that there is a hole on every side of the cube. From doing this I wanted to go further by breaking the boundaries of the inside. To accomplish this idea I added a cube in the center to create a space that would flow into every side of the cube.

Paper Folding To create these models I directly manipulated the boundaries of the paper. For the first model to create that curvature, I increased the number of patterns in the paper. To create the second model, I used parrallel arcs to create the curvature, but for the spiraling affect, I had the arcs vary in length.

Where Sky Meets Earth

Using inspiration from the previous model, I created a similar spiraling shape. However my focus for this project was for the boundaries to be experienced. In this model you are able to see the boundary, because of the curve, be under the boundary and have a feeling of being surrounded, and be able to go on top of the boundaries.
