Our summer reading program that celebrates innovation and invention. The first 50 registrants get a bag or T-shirt and the prize at the end is to print out your finished project on our new 3D printer!

This “Holstein on Wheels” is a friendly space for parents and young children, 0-6 years, to learn and explore fun new ways to add literacy activities into their daily lives. Parent Link and Leduc County Parks and Recreation will also be on hand providing fun activities and face painting!

PARENT LINK STAY N’ PLAY Every Wednesday from 9:30am - 12:00pm Ages 0 - 6 New Sarepta Community Services Building Contact Darlene 780-979-2388 This Stay’ n’ Play program has an unstructured free play component at the beginning of the morning followed by a 30-45 minute structured activity/ circle time. Themes may include music, messy art time, sensory play and more.

SUMMER READING PROGRAM Thursday, June 26th - Saturday, August 16th Drop-in anytime the library is open Children 0-6 We have a special reading program just for preschool children this summer! This registered program is geared specifically for children who are not yet reading independently. Register at the library on June 3rd or find out more at our program launch on June 26th!

Through crafts, games, and music, children will have the opportunity to meet new friends in a positive atmosphere. Each day will feature a theme that all munchkins are sure to enjoy.

BOYS WILDERNESS ADVENTURE Wednesday, July 2nd – Friday, July 4th Drop off at 6:00 PM July 2nd and pick up at 10:00 AM July 4th Sunnybrook Creek Park Campground Group Campsite (8km west of Thorsby) Ages 8 – 15 $45.00 Registration Deadline June 25th Contact Nicole Sagen at 780-955-3555 ext. 3262 This overnight wilderness adventure will test your outdoor skills. All meals will be provided. This sleep over camp is weather dependant.

Report cards are required to complete registration. If they have misplaced them or are new, Leduc County staff will place them in an appropriate class on the first day of lessons. Register early as space is limited.

NEW SAREPTA SPORTS CAMP Monday, July 21st – Thursday, July 24th *Includes a special trip to Sylvan Lake Wild Rapids 10:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. (12:00P.M. New Sarepta Agriplex Ages 7 – 15 Cost: $85.00 (Participants that do not wish to attend the day trip to Wild Rapids on July 23rd can still attend the other three days of Sports Camp for a cost of $45.00) Registration Deadline July 14th Contact Nicole Sagen 780-955-3555 ext. 3262 Get ready for school sports with our high-energy camp. Each day focuses on a different sport, coupled with crafts and games. Participants will enjoy a special trip to Wild Rapids Waterslide Park on July 23rd.

Our cooking camp will provide children with an opportunity to learn new skills while making new friends. Children will be able to try out at least two new recipes each day of camp.

This overnight camp will focus on empowerment and selfregard. Participants can look forward to a photo booth, yoga lessons, crafts, games, a pizza party, and a movie night. EXTREME ADVENTURE Tuesday, August 5th – Friday, August 8th 9am drop off (Aug. 5th), 3pm pick up (Aug. 8th) at Leduc County Centre Long Lake Centre (Athabasca) Ages 12 – 17 Cost $150* Registration Deadline Tuesday, July 22nd Contact Nicole Sagen at 780-955-3555 ext. 3262 If you are between the ages of 12 and 17 and want to become a leader in your school or community, Extreme Adventure is the camp for you! Canoeing, kayaking, an island campout, team building, and leadership workshops are just a few of the adventures that we will explore this year. Our adventure activities will be guided by staff at the Long Lake Centre near Athabasca, Alberta who are dedicated to providing high quality and safe programs. After the event, participants will have the opportunity to give back to their communities through volunteer opportunities at Leduc County’s various community events. *Corporate sponsors have supported each participant with a $275 donation, thereby reducing the cost.

SPY KIDS MINI DAY CAMP Monday, August 18th – Tuesday, August 19th 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM New Sarepta Agriplex Ages: 7 – 15 Cost: $30.00 Registration Deadline Monday, August 11th Contact Nicole Sagen at 780 955 3555 ext. 3262 This two-day camp will give you a taste of what it’s like to be a real life spy. Solve an ongoing mystery, crack puzzling codes, and work on your stealthy spy moves. This camp will be jam-packed with adventure!

EDMONTON FRINGE FESTIVAL DAY TRIP Friday, August 15th 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Old Strathcona Ages: 7 – 15 $30.00 Registration Deadline: August 8th Contact Nicole Harrish at 780 955 3555 ext 3263 Experience Edmonton’s fine arts culture on this day trip to the Fringe. The trip includes admission to one play as well as a variety of street performances. Participants will need to bring a bagged lunch, as we will be having a picnic in the area. Pick up and drop off location/times are dependent on registration and will be announced one week prior. This trip is weather dependant.

Tickets price includes snacks, lunch, amazing sessions, door prizes and more! Ticket sales start August 2014. Space is limited, so purchase your ticket early! We are also looking for monetary or inkind donations and invite retailers and registrants to provide attendees with product demonstrations, information, samples, freebies and draw items.
